ok so i wanted to try it on my 6 year old f150 daily driver. just tried it on the hood first. washed the truck with zaino wash. then washed the hood with citrus wash red, and iron x and used nano skin mitt. polished with pinnacle xmt #3 with orange constant pressure pad on flex, then used xmt #1 with green pad. did ipa wipe down and washed hood again with PBL shampoo. used PBL polish on white pad. finally used pal paint coating. here are some pictures 5 minutes after laying down coating. the first is a picture looking down on hood seeing garage door above it. can't even see the hood. the sun is going down so i will try and get a better picture tomorrow

thanks hopefully i can get the rest done this week

Sorry to say, your pics are not making justice to the write up you've made.

In my opinion, you've done a very competent preparation (interesting as well), and I hope you could apply the coating with good technique to guarantee even coverage and zero streaks.

You can take a look at my coating application tips so you may add some 'tricks' to your way of doing it. May help for sure:

Very nice write up, can't wait to see more pictures if you have to share, and/or the whole car coated! Good luck.

Best Wishes,

those tips will really help. i primed my applicator too and find it takes more than what people are saying to get it to coat evenly. i will try and get some more pictures when i do the whole car. just debating if i want to or i kinda wanna try synergy on the truck.
