My guess is you're looking at Toyota's single stage white which tends to oxidize rather quickly.

It would be great if you could give me some idea of the detailing products you might have on hand. Do you have or have you ever used a dual action polisher?

I believe that year white is SS and will need to be polished. This will strip the top layer of oxidation.

I had a 2006 tacoma and just traded it in last year, it had clear coat so theres no way he has SS. If you post some pics that would help us recommend everything you would need.

Toyota's white paint is single-stage. I'm sure most of their other colors are bc/cc.

Not trying to start a war of words, but I believe that Toyota still was using SS paint on their whites (I do not believe any other colors). Some manufactures still use SS paint (Mitsubishi Phoenix Red for instance.)

BTW, How did you like the Tacoma?

Toyota still does use single stage paint for their white vehicles. All you are experiencing is oxidation. It can be fixed with machine polishing easily.

And i really loved our Tacoma, it was our family vehicle for 5 years. Had a Texas Edition also which was semi rare to have. Traded it in last year for a G37 :xyxthumbs:
