This is my first post here so I hope this is in the correct spot. I need some clarification on the differences on Menzerna polishes. I have read as much as I can on here but am still unsure. Right now I've started using Powergloss, Intensive and Micro. I dont think i like the Micro but the Powergloss is essential for heavy correction. So my question is would Powerfinish be a better option to the Intensive? And what is the difference between Final Finish (85U), Micro(87MC) and Nano (106FA) they look like they are essentially the same. Also I've seen alot of people that use 85RD; what does it do the the previous 3 don't?

Where is Power Finish 203S? Nano 106FA? Have the letters changed? I've seen all these charts but it still doesnt answer my question. I understand the level of cut on all of them, thats not what im asking. All I really want to know is should i use 203S instead of 91E for med cut and 106FA or 85RD instead of 85U or 87MC for a final on all clears?

Power Finish (203S) has about the same cut as Intensive Polish(91E) but finishes down better. If you have a light colored car, you can actually get away with using Power Finish as a one-stepper. 106FA is new & improved 106FF. I use it as my one-stepper. Unless you have a keen eye (which I don't), you'll be hard pressed to any haze left over even on dark colored vehicles. It doesn't have as much cut as 203S, but it does leave better finish. I have both 85RD and 87MC and IMO they're about the same. Some people claim that 85RD finishes down a little better, but I can't tell the difference. I have PowerGloss too, but I haven't used it in ages. IMO, it's obsolete when you compare it to newer polishes like Meguiar's M105 and Ultimate Compound, both of which I love.

You have PM.

How does the finish of 85RD compare to 106FF? They are rated very close on the chart other than the Nano has more cut.

85rd is more of the last step you would take to what is called burnish the paint to its best gloss.

Not to jack your thread or anything but what is the difference between 85U and 85RD? Is 85U just newer?

PO85U Final Finish is a coarser grit somewhere in the 2500 range while PO85D Final Polish is finer grit of 3000. PO85D is the last in line for paint correction prior to glazing, sealing, and waxing. Both have their place when restoring a finish.
