Just when you think they are clean. Clean them 3 more times. It took 8 separate cleaning to get mine perfect. I used about 40oz of cleaner. I am running Goodyear duratracs a large A/T tire.
 
Lol i clean them using these product in the following order.

Meguiars D143 , Zep Fast 505 , 2x Tuf Shine tire cleaner by hand , 2-3x Tuf Shine tire cleaner Machine Scrub with Cyclo Grey Brush w/GG 6" , 2x Tuf shine tire cleaner by hand.

I am so tired of scrubbing these big tires and apply dressing every wash. I am hoping i don't have to reapply the tuf shine for 1 whole year
 
curious if it would be worth while to do a spot test on a tire before going full bore? only to find out the tire isn't ready to be TS coated for one reason or another?
 
Yes spot test would be a good idea, however i spoke with the folks over at tuf shine, they said it there are silicone still on the tires, it might take up to a day before it starts appearing and i think you will have to drive a few miles on that car as well.

So u probably have to scrub again, after taking it out for a spin before coat ing the entire tire
