Product Spotlight

TUF SHINE Tire Clearcoat

Tuf Shine Tire Clearcoat could possibly be the one product that saves you more time and effort than any other car care product in your arsenal of detailing supplies. Tuf Shine Tire Clearcoat is a water-based coating for your tires that provides unsurpassed protection and a shine that lasts months instead of weeks. While conventional tire dressings wear off after a week or two, Tuf Shine Tire Clearcoat continues to shine, even through multiple washes and thousands of miles.

TUF SHINE Tire Cleaner

Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner, better known as the good stuff among professional detailers, is an intense tire cleaner that deep cleans tires better than you ever thought possible. Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner safely removes polymers, silicones, waxes, grease and previously applied dressings to leave your tires with a clean and natural looking appearance. Tires cleaned with Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner will arguably be as clean, if not cleaner, than the day they left the factory.

Can't wait to try it out, but it's going to be at least a week.

I have used both products and love them.

The Tuf Shine cleaner gets the tires squeeky clean, literally. I rubbed my fingers on the sidewall and squeek squeek. Best tire cleaner I've ever used.
Note that if your tires are loaded up with dressing/silicone MAKE SURE you assess the
foam color. It it's white foam after scrubbing, the tire is good for next step. If it is brownish color foam you need to do another round. Some tires have pores loaded up with junk that needs to be cleaned out in order for the TufShine Clearcoat to get a perfect bond. It's just like your paint/clearcoat that you want perfectly clean before sealing.

The TS Clearcoat goes on easy and one coat gives you almost no shine. Two coats gives a minimal shine. Three coats a moderate shine.

The shine slightly diminishes over time but the protection/sealant effect stays in place. If you want to restore shine just clean tire, dry, and reapply a coat. Caution when applying product to the supplied sponge---product is very runny, sponge is like a rock when new, pouring product on sponge = product running off the sponge. Gently dispense a few drops on the sponge top and work it in slowly add more.

This is the only stuff to use on your daily driver. There is a but of a learning curve, as you are coating the tires. However, it keeps tires as clean as paint. I usually add a coat once a month, but tires still look good. The best part is, you can clean your tires by just wiping them down. No scrubbing. No brushes.

One thing that doesn't se to be clear is, the TS Tire Cleaner is NOT for tires coated with Tuff Shine. It's to remove all your conventional dressings so you can apply the Tuff Shine initially. Once you apply the coating, you can clean your tires with whatever you clean your wheels with. Very strong acid like wheel cleaners can degrade the coating, but "safe" wheel cleaners are fine. Also, you are able to touch up the coating.

Prep is the key to success. If you frequently dress your tires, they are loaded with gunk that has been absorbed into the tire. You can scrub your tires forever with APC, but nothing will prep them right but the Tuff Shine Tire Cleaner. Plan on spending a while prepping the tires. In fact it's best to clean them, let the vehicle sit overnight, then clean them again. That's what it took to get my tires clean enough to apply the coating. If you have brown spots or peeling after applying the coating, the tire wasn't clean enough.

Definitely want to see this reviewed! Hear so many good things about it.
