Purchased the TUF SHINE tire appearance kit and applied it today after giving my Z a wash! Kit includes: 22oz TUF SHINE Tire Cleaner, TUF SHINE Tire Brush, TUF SHINE Applicator Sponge, two nitrile gloves and 6oz bottle of TUF SHINE Tire Clearcoat. Instructions were pretty simple. First wet the tire, spray on the cleaner, and scrub until the suds are white. Multiple applications of the cleaner need to be applied until the suds are white! If the tire is not free of all dirt and old tire shine, the clearcoat will not form a proper bond! After the suds are white, rinse the tire completely clean. Make sure the tire is completely dry before tire clearcoat application. You can choose how glossy you want your tires based on how many coats. Obviously the more coats, the glossier! I tried to put 1 coat on but I think it turned out to be about 1.5! My OCD was kicking in and I wanted to make sure I didn't miss a spot! On to the pics...

Over all, I was very pleased with the application of the product! Took some time to scrub the tires. I'd say it took me about an hour to scrub all four tires. But in the end, it's worth it!

Thank you for the pic's OZD 35 :props:

I started a thread on this "Tuf Shine" a few weeks back.I too purchased a kit from DI.
I have not got around to trying mine yet because the PERL I have on my DD is still going strong.

The pictures are a bit small but from what I can see,the tires look good.

So far I am more than pleased! Can't wait to see how they hold up and see how easy they are to clean and maintain!

Sorry about the initial small pics... I think I got em' fixed...

Sorry for the late response. Durability is pretty amazing. I like my tires to have a nice shine, so I put two coats on. I wanna say I re-coat every 3 months. I put a "winter" coat on back in October and just the other day I was finally able to give my car a wash, thanks to some warm weather. I was very impressed with the way the tires still looked. They have a nice clean, matte black look to them right now. I will try to get some pictures up within the next couple of days.

Overall, I love the stuff!:props: It is a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. I actually bought another kit so I could do my parents cars as well. Most important step is making sure you get the tires as clean as possible so the sealant will bond to the tire.

Lol oh, and be sure you use the glove they give you to apply the sealant. It's not easy to get off your hand! I found out the hard way:xyxthumbs:

Here are the updated pictures. Like I said, the last time I put a coat on was back in October...

How many miles on the dressing? Rain? Garage kept?

I meant to add this information in my last post but was in a hurry and forgot! My car is kept outside and is a daily driver, so it does see rain and salt covered roads. I can't give you an exact number on the milage, but I would guess I've put between 800-1,000 miles on since my last coating back in October.

I love this stuff and hate dressing tires, AG needs a tire coating in their inventory!

Nice Z, OZD. I have a 370Z that I have been using Tuf Shine on and I, too, am seeing several months of durability. I was amazed at all of the gunk that was coming off of my tires the first time I used the kit. Good stuff.

Yes, the amount of dirt that comes out of the tires is impressive! I love the 370Z! What color/model do you have?? I would love to test drive one, but I know if I do I'll be itching to buy one! Lol not exactly in a situation to buy a new car at the moment!

I have an '09 with the sport pkg in monterrey blue. I always wanted a 350 and kicked myself for never getting one. Once the 370 came out, I couldn't resist. Loving it so far!! :xyxthumbs:

Nice review.

I want to try the product, but I can't find it.

Went to the AG store and entered Tuf Shine and nothing turned up.

I would ask all reviewers to include a link to the AG page in every review. And put it at the top of the review, not at the very end.

You can buy direct from Tufshine.com or Detailedimage.com carries this stuff.

Cheers,
GREG

That Tuff Shine tire brush is the best tire brush I have ever used. Thanks for the review!

I'm not real satisfied....I put 3 coats on the van and depending what angle you look at it, it doesn't look like there's tire shine on it. Maybe I applied it wrong but it sure doesn't look like your tires.

Did you clean the tire until the suds turned white?? If not there is probably old dressing still on there causing a bonding issue. Here is one of my tires after just one coat.
