TurtleWax Rinseless Wash

Here is what someone (I think it was Klasse Act) posted about the Turtle Wax rinseless dilution ratios for various jobs:

"Anyone looking to try this for washing their car, here you go, looking to make up some QD, here you go, same with clay lube, can't miss!

To make 1 gallon of quick detailer:

1 entire bottle into an empty gallon jug, top off with water.

To make a good clay lube:

1/2 bottle into an empty gallon jug, top off with water.

To wash your car with it (dirty)

Use 4 oz per 2 gallons for wash solution

To wash your car w/ it dusty or light dirt

Use 3 oz per 2 gallons for wash solution"

Yeah that's me but just to wash the car I'm following the directions, 4 oz to 2 gallons of water but I took it upon myself to try 3 oz to 2 gallons for a dusty car and it worked fine.

As far as using a spray bottle to wash the car, never used it like that but I have to ask, why would you?

Well I mixed a bottle of TWRW to a gallon of water.
Then I spray a panel well, it then begins to help soften the grime before I pit my towel against the paint.
It just gives me a little more lube which helps even more to avoid swirls , works really well for me.
It's better then just going straight to a dry panel is all. works great.
Before I start I can feel some contaminates but as soon as I spray it I can feel how sleek it makes it.
Worth a try, give it a shot:)

Well if you've got a real dirty panel to work on that's a great way to go, basically your using the ratio for QD as a pre-wash, sounds like its working;-)

I gave it a shot. I put a little in the low pressure pump sprayer. I sprayed a panel and followed that with a two towel method. I didn't feel like taking an entire bucket with me so I tried it this way. Worked really well.

I will be taking my bottle of TW rinseless on my honeymoon, along with my pair of 5 gallon buckets/grit guards so I can maintain my ride while down there. Get up early, wash the car and hit the road!

Just a heads up that my local autozone has this on sale for $5.99.

I thought the TW worked well!!!

It does, I bought so many bottles when it was BOGO.
I use it daily as a QD and wash my car just with a bucket of water and TWRW.
One bottle makes me a gallon of QD, that's like 3.50 a gallon being I made a great deal.

Thanks Guz, I'm going to stop by today and see if ours has it on sale as well. Maybe they think its the "off season" for washing, LOL!

Got some Saturday, and it was $5.99. Not sure how long the sale was for.

For the price it's hard to beat ,works very good, you don't give up anything with this product.

Does it provide a good amount of lubrication like other high quality rinseless washes?

To be honest I wouldn't know being I never tried high end RW's.
I can tell you it has plenty of lube and won't scratch your finish when using common sense, like any other products, follow the instructions.
I'll order the DP RW to compare the two.
Then I'll know for sure.

I see one person use half the bottle into a empty jug then top off with water for clay lube. Anyone else try this to see if it made a nice clay lube?

Will using 3/4 of the bottle into a jug, top off with water be to much? I used to much of mine to do this so I will buy another bottle when I use it all then try it.

Here's my take on clay lube and ratio for TW rinseless. The directions say 4 oz into 2 gallons of water to wash your car and if this is good enough to safely lift and remove the dirt out of your way why not apply this to clay lube? At the very most I'd double it, 8 oz's and make 2 gallons of clay lube or 4 oz's to 1 gallon of water. I've had no issue doing this and I have soft, Honda paint. I've even used 3 oz's of TW into 2 gallons of water when my car is just dusty and/or sat out in the rain at work w/o a problem.

Oh and BTW I use the 2BM method, just to be clear.

I've used many other rinseless washes and think TW, when on sale, is a can't miss product. With that said, I like buying bulk and when AG runs a sale and you get say 15% off, buy and try DG rinseless and you'll be happy, its got AW mixed in, thus making it the #1 rinseless wash IMO! For an OTC product TW is great!
