Ceramiclear paint + DA compounding + the taping of all the complex and sharp lines of this particular car + Prepping surgically clean + cleaning dust and product out of the cracks on a black car = a slow go. Ceramiclear is a PITA and takes a lot of time to do with no risk of over cutting with a rotary. Reading the warnings of working on Ceramiclear paint written here by Mike Phillips will help anyone wondering the same to understand. It's a cover my own Azz thing.

Gotcha, never worked on ceramiclear, but from what everyone is saying about the clear, sounds like it makes detailing no fun :(

Every time I work on it, it's the last time I'm working on it. :nomore::laughing:
 
Did you test spot with a MF pad before deciding on foam?
Just curious.:)

Looks like a low# Md tag? Big shot...shot caller?

I did on a different black Ceramiclear Benz and wasn't too happy with the results. It left some hazing with 205 that isn't present with the use of foam finishing pads.

This was yesterday first time using GG 6" on my step dads GMC. Picture was after m105 LC Orange and m205 LC Grey. When I give the truck a final wash tomorrow I'll post some picks and see what you fellas think.

With the extreme bus detail going on I have been pushing forward on the job pretty good but I'm making a little "Dave time" this evening and hooking up with a few friends to go see the awesome group from the 80's "Asia" in concert here in York PA at the Strand theater. Woo Hoo!!!

Man What a show!!! What do you get when you combine King Crimson, ELP, and Yes? = One Awesome performance!! Steve Howe as always, was just incredible and Carl Palmer performed the best drum solo I have "ever seen"!! And I tell you I have seen many. John Wetton still has the voice from the early King Crimson days that just penetrates the listener, and Geoff Downes has like 9 keyboards and and simply graces all of them.

You are definitely going to dig the show.

I punched myself in the eye tonight when a wrench slipped off a ball joint nut I was attempting to tighten. I saw stars for a second. It still hurts a little but these here pork chops will make it feel better.

Stepping out the door in 10 minutes to take a trip up the coast then over to Watertown New York to spend Thanksgiving with my brother and his family. First stop is Boston to meet BostonDetails and SeaJay's, then up to Gorham Maine to see my buddy Bill York at Bio-Specialists LLc. to install a coat of Opti-Guard on his 2013 work truck. Bill and I will hang, relax and possibly grab a Lobster before I make my way over to Watertown to give thanks for all the wonderful people and things that I enjoy in my life.

A much needed vacation...I probably won't be posting very much while I'm gone so I wanted to give a shout out to all AGO members and staff to say, "Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving Holiday!!" TD
