Tuscarora Dave's miscellaneous stuff thread.

I just got a call that the Kilmaine Saints are playing right up the road tonight. My best friend had played lead guitar for the saints for a few years and I used to go to a lot of their gigs until he left the band. These guys (and gal) have blown up in the past year or so, doing some national tours etc.

My friend , Barry "Black Eye" Mills is once again playing lead with the band and they have the "Magic Mojo" back that they seemed to have lost for a while there. I'm excited that they are playing local and will be in the crowd for sure. If you ever get a chance to see this band locally...GO...their energy is incredible!!!

I was checking this thread out http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/82670-local-detailer-recommendations.html after receiving an email and talking to Mike about his 350Z paint issues. Mike will be swinging by the shop tomorrow at some point to receive a little hands on training to get his hood straightened out.

I want to thank you all for the kind words, for your concerns of my not being on the forums for a while and for referring forum members that are close to my area to contact me.

I've been extremely busy with the commercial wheelchair lift repair and service, and have had a lot of body rust repair jobs going on lately, which have me heading in early and coming home pretty late.

In addition to being extremely busy, tragically...I lost my boy "Colt the Bolt" when he got away from me and headed after a rabbit into the woods, as I was calling for him and trying to find him, sadly he ran out of the woods and was run over by a car, being killed instantly. I haven't had it in me to spend much of the little spare time I do have, browsing the forums.

It's been a really tough time for me lately and I'm trying to balance focus on work, with doing the things that make me happy...which has been training a new young rescue dog "Dirty Boy" who was rescued from a kill shelter in West Virginia, and helping my mother train her recently adopted rescue dog.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi and show my appreciation to you guys and gals, and share the bad news about "Colt the Bolt" because I know that those of you who met him, liked him. I hope this message finds you all well. TD

OMG that really sucks,I have had my mother in law let a dog out the front door who I was trying to break the habit of her running wild, and have my son and his friend seen her get run over by a woman speeding down my block! I know what u went through, and it's sickning feeling!

Ah damn Dave. So sorry for your loss. Colt was a great dog for the little bit I got to spend with him.

Dude, sorry for your loss. That truly is gut wrenching.

Holy cow Dave, that's terrible. I don't know what else to say. :(

Dave,

"Mischief" and I send our condolences.

thanks guys, words can't repair the pain that you feel when losing such an extraordinary animal. I have to learn the lesson, move on with another dog, take those lessons and do better for the new dog. Colt was a wonderful dog and he taught me a lot about dog training. I'm not one to cry for long so dirty boy is being trained as we speak, and he's coming along quite nicely. I promised myself, and dirty boy that we will never be taken off of the long lead. I took my eyes off of Colt for only a minute, that's all it takes sometimes.

Sorry you lost your dog Dave. Good luck with the new one. Rescue dogs are great! I've had Angus the wonder dog for four years now. He came to Oregon Humane Society, a no kill shelter, from a kill shelter in California.

I shoulda stopped by the other day but I was pressed for time to get to Lewistown. Sorry to hear the bad news. I'll make time this week. I want to show you the Alcoas that I cut and polished by hand.

Keep your head up bro!
