Yesterday, I had a Big Fleet wash that I do every Thursday.
My helper and I were about half way through with the job, when I twisted my ankle. We were drying off that big International. I was on the top step, but thinking I was on the bottom step, when I decided to step down...... Wrong move...
I ended up twisting my ankle. I sat down for about 30 minutes while my helper finished up. Since we had a long day ahead of up, I decided to keep on working. My ankle was sore, but I had work to do. When I get home, the Wife wants to go to the store. We get there and walk around for about an hour and a half. My ankle was still sore, but not as sore as earlier. But this morning.....I am paying for it! Swollen up and can barely walk on it.
Now I am out a few jobs today.....

bummer....... It happens

man that sux....sry to hear that...i hope its not to bad and you will be back on ur feet in no time..good luck

That sucks! I'm sorry to hear.
make sure you KEEP icing it and take some anti-inflammatory OTC. When I ruptured my ACL I had a mean limp all night, but when I woke up the next morning I couldn't even walk. My knee was damn near the size of a football. I snapped it right in half.

be sure to keep it elevated and iced. it allows the swelling to move down the leg not sit in one spot... I asked my woman, (athletic trainer) ;) haah

good luck buddy!

Oh man, sorry to hear that. Hope it doesn't keep you down too long. Sick feeling when you don't feel the ground as soon as you think.

Personally I think I twisted/sprained ankle is more painful then breaking a bone (which I've broken plenty of lol). Even a sprained wrist, majorily sucks.

Grab a Miller bottle from the fridge (save the Heineken for drinking :D) and roll the bottle under your bad foot. I play soccer and twisted ankles happen pertty often, although less painfull and severe than yours I imagine... either way, roll the bottle for 5-10 mins at a time, then ice and elevate your foot... this has put me back on the field in a day or 2 every time... hope it feels better soon... oh and don't under any circumstances forget to drink the Heineken, it's a very valuable part of the healing process

Cant even tell you how many times Ive rolled my ankles.

Only Joe could get away with that!!!:D

Chris, sorry to hear that. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

I feel your pain and wish a speedy recovery and am thankful it isn't something that will last too long. How many of us have made mistake coming off our ladders lol. I stepped off my ladder into my wash bucket one time and went down.

Texastb, - I am sorry!! Thar sure sucks. I hope you feel better soon. Shouldn't you do the rice thing with that - rest, ice, compression, elevation?
Let us know how you're doing, Chris!
Blessings,
Lauren

Microfractures. If it still hurts after the swelling dimishes investigate further. Generally there's no serious damage, but all trauma entails potential occult risk, and the older one is the greater the potential for bone damage. Even if this occurs, it need not be cause for alarm and you may well end up with stronger bone at the site assuming it heals properly. Don't self medicate with anything strong or over three days. If pain persists, see an M.D. as soon as possible.

Chris that blows! Sorry to hear it. I hope it get better fast so you can get out there and make for cars and tucks shine!

Aw man, I hope you feel better! I have bent my ankle trying to jump and squish a spider on the wall. I landed my foot wrong.
