Two New CarPro Products! Iron X Paste & Tar X

Any of the AG staff know when the large bottles of Tar X will be in? Any ETA?

Umm yeah, that's what I reviewed.I was talking about CQuartz leather.

yeah but you just asked for carpro stuff so I assumed you where asking about the CQuartz and leather.

Sorry if I was not clear enough.

I wasn't trying to be an ass, I was just asking a question.

I never implied that, that's why I apologized (Sorry if I was not clear enough).

Off topic, but thats why I love this place! 98% of everyone is so nice! You guys are like "I'm sorry" and the other ones like "NO I'M SORRY!" lol

I will have to try the tar x soon. I hate all the tar that builds up on wheel wells

Avi about using Iron X and Iron X paste the right way. When I spray Iron X do I just let it set or do I rub it in with a sponge?

Same for Iron X Paste do I let it sit there, or rub it in?

BTW I just ordered the Paste.
i would recommend to use ironx on dry surface
or after quick rinsing, but without much water drops on car surface!!!, water will reduce its power removing irons.
about the paste you can apply it on the spots that you find very hard to remove
just leave it on , it can stay even longer then 5 min!! just not under direct sun light,
you can rub it on as well on whole wheel surface , no problem... it will be very efficient wheel cleaner

Hi Sean,

Iron X you wash the car first and then spray it on.

Next you wait a couple minutes (directions say 2-3) - (you will see the purple color where it is reacting)

Then you rub it in with your wash media (instructions say soft sponge) and rinse off thoroughly.

Iron X paste you apply and wait 5-6 min for full reaction.

Then rinse thoroughly with water.

Don't let either product dry on the paint.
Hi Corey , you are right about all, only thing is that you can leave both longer on surface , just not under direct sunlight.

Last time I did it I sprayed it than just let it sit their and rinsed it off. Wondering when I rub it in if I should use a sponge with some water/soap mixture. Or just go with a wet sponge.
any way is possible.. rubing it with soaked sponge or wash mitt will remove it better... though after de-con you anyway going to soap wash the car so you can save this step.

I think Tar X is meant more for spot cleanings, instead of just applying to the whole car. I've seen some cars trashed with tar, and I still wouldn't use my tar remover on the entire paint. So I would assume that claying would still be necessarily. But thats just a guess.
tarx meant for both, whole car and spotting,
for whole car you can just spray it well on sponge pad and rub all over the car ,with few squirts from time to time, it will thoroughly remove any traffic film as well.

I was thinking that the most ideal would be to have a water bucket with Iron X Soap Gel mixture to agitate the Iron X spray that's on the paint.

I'm just wondering because one time I remember Avi posting about diluting the product to much if the car is still wet when using Iron X spray.
you can, but there wont be much effect difference from normal car shampoo, so will be more expansive.
the best effect from soapgel is without diluting it in water bucket.

Thank you for sharing Nick.:props:

You know i'm all over these new CarPro offerings, and will be placing my order soon.
But
Do you also know when this "other" new CarPro product will be offered at AG:
http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...quartz-new-improved-also-cquartz-leather.html
cquartz fabric & leather will be out soon, we are final testing it. sorry for this delay

Is there an answer yet as to when the larger sizes of Tar X will be available? Would very much like to get both (Iron & Tar) at the same time. Great questions and answers here convinced me. Thanks
