So i used ultimate Compound on whole car. Could i follow up with scratchX 2.0 do clean it up even more? or should i just do another run of UC?

2012 Black Nissan Altima

Did the UC finish out to your satisfaction?

What machine are you running?

I would finish with Ultimate Polish or M205 if you are trying to enhance the paint a little further. UC usually finishes out pretty nice on its own though.

If you only have ScratchX at hand though, and don't mind putting the time/effort in, then yes you can.

It certainly won't hurt anything and is less agressive than UC.

ScratchX is 2 steps down in aggressiveness from UC. It would be on the aggressive end of medium polishes. I think you want a finishing polish and since Ultimate Polish is readily available and cheap at big box stores, I would recommend that route.

Am using the Harbor Frieght DA and HF orange pads.

UC didnt get some scratches out so would it be better if i just go over the whole car agin with UC and not worry about getting scratchX?

And i am gonna finish with UP and Ultimate liquid wax

Oh ok, if you're going to buy something anyway, get the UP.

If you're not satisfied with the result, then yes you can go over it with UC again, then UP, then UW.

You could even UC only the areas where there are scratches remaining, rather than the whole car.

^ +1.

Are the HF orange pads for cutting/compound? If so, get some polishing pads to use with the UP. I'd recommend a finishing pad for the UW unless you are going to apply by hand.

Tnx for the feedback. Yeah am thinking of re doing the trouble spots agin with UC then ultinate polish the whole car and ultimate liquid wax it as well.

Yeah the orange HF pads are for compounding but am going to be getting the 5.5 Lake country BP and the 6pack of the pads.
