Well, I know it will be of little comfort because a surgery is a surgery but I can tell you from professional experience that a THR has the fastest recovery of any arthroplasty. Are they doing a bipolar procedure or just a hemi?
In case you are too drugged when they explain it to you, here are the 3 ABSOLUTE "no-no's" post-op.
1) Flexing your hip past 90 degrees
2) Crossing your thighs aka. crossing your legs (crossing your ankles provided the knees are apart is Ok!)
3) Turning your thigh inward. This one gets confusing because they explain it as no internal rotation, but if your knee is bent 90 degrees, your foot goes out which makes you think you are safe... not! if your knee cap is pointing inwards.... you are asking for trouble!
Will pray for you my friend! :dblthumb2:
P.S. Planning on changing your forum name to runwobble411 (I couldn't resist)
