Long story short :

My long nights of detailing = wife's having to call out of work to watch the kids while Im detailing :/ ...... reaction : she lost her job (first ever job getting fired from!) She is not happy and I feel really bad ----- but, I can say that I have a wonderful woman and if that isn't support then I don't know what is lol :dblthumb2:!

Sorry to hear that. Looks like you might have a new front of the house manager.

LOL - maybe.... she is a workaholic as well :/ so she most likely wont stay unemployed for very long.

Where in TN you chiming in from?!?!?

Im just down the street... Thompson's Station(where 840 ends going west)

Dam man u must OT alot o.O....

Yes I do lol - 36 hours straight (minus 2 hour nap in work truck) is my max..... other than that 28 hours straight detailing before. All in all, I average like $1.33 an hour LOL!

Beautiful area man :dblthumb2: - I have a friend in Columbia that I used to detail aircraft with - gorgeous area!

Wow thats insane amount of work.......
and i always thought detailing is time consuming and tiring!!
How can u detail for 28 hrs straight!!!!!!

It's cool hand...just remember that when 1 door is closed, another one will be opened.
Nothing happens in God's world by mistake.

True - and I am secretly happy for her (can't tell her though :bolt:) Her being on 3rd shift has been hard on the kids IMO.... my detailing all day every day has been hard on the kids IMO. I am hoping to pull enough scratch together to support her staying at home. Then again I think that is nearly impossible this early in the game :/

:iagree:, but sorry to hear the bad news

Thanx man

why didn't you just hire babysitters to watch the kids? its becoming so much more popular, especially where im from teenage girls all have baby sitting as jobs and get paid between 12-20 dollars an hour, i would assume a few hours babysitting is better than a wife losing her job!

Its simply a fork in the road, heading her into a new and often better route thru life. Keep the faith ....

I had the same thought, until I got to the part where she has been 3rd shift as of late.

I think it would be kind of hard to get a HS kid to do a 2nd & 3rd shift span, when they have to be at school the next day.

Sorry to hear about it, if they take this stance on having to deal with family matters, it is for the better.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe teach her how to detail and you those long days will be cut in half. and you can also get 2 vehicles done at same time(you doing 1 and her doing another). then you guys can switch off on who goes home for the kids after school.

Sorry to hear about this Anthony. Good Luck going forward!

-Don't know how long your Wife was employed at that job; or, if She was entitled to any medical benefits...
But, I would hope that Her former employer was/is in compliance with the:

Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) of 1993.

-Might be worth your while to check in on this, IMO.

:)

Bob

Sorry to hear of the job loss Anthony. I'm sure something better is right around the corner. Only thing is she doesn't need to lose that one to for the same reason...
