WOW!

Get that man some Pinnacle Souveran paste wax. I never have used Zymol, so I can't say anything about it. Has anyone compare Pinnacle Souveran paste wax to Zymol Royale?
Zymol Royale
Contains 70% Carnauba Sap/Wax by volume (100% White).
  • Refilled at no extra charge, for life.
  • Ingredients derived from nature include sunflower, honeydew and cantaloupe oils.
  • Provides protection that polishes do not.
  • Greater protection with increased depth of shine and reflection.
  • No harsh chemicals or abrasives.
  • No white residue or buildup along seams. $8000.00
The prime ingredient in Pinnacle Souveran is Brazilian Ivory Carnauba. Carnauba wax is world-renown for its crystal clarity, its protective properties and its uncanny shimmer. The wax is produced by a specific tree that grows in the hot, wet valleys of Northern Brazil. The leaves secrete the wax in order to protect themselves from the tropical sun and to shed rainwater, which falls to the tree’s roots. Carnauba wax has the distinction of being the hardest natural wax and it has the highest melting point of any natural wax.

No other natural wax is as sought after as No. 1 yellow carnauba wax, deemed the purest and highest quality by Brazil’s government inspectors. No. 1 yellow carnauba wax is the only wax found in Pinnacle Souveran.

Justin thanks for posting.

Yellow carnauba is the purest natural form but White is then produced from yellow and processed to a more natural clearer form of carnauba hence the clarity , depth and additional cost...........

White carnauba is the most refective carnauba and 70% in Royale will almost be impossible to beat before it turns to biscuit form hence why Royale is such a bugger to apply.......

I have used most of the Zymol waxes now apart from Vintage and can tell the difference between them especially on feel aswell as depth etc....

To be totally honest i think souveran is a fantastic wax and the longevity is its only minus point compared to the z range but if applying monthly this is no problem...

I think the only similarly priced wax (well cheaper) in the uk is p21,s which is a favourite for the price but again does not last......

Some of Pauls customers get a year out of Royale and i think Vintage is a great price for refills if you are a pro detailer if they wernt so ridiculous with the contractual side of things!!!

I believe now you have to be vetted!!!!!

Anyway today i tried my Zymol concours for the first time on a metallic black and was interested to see how it compared to the pinnacle souveran / p21,s look and feel.....

so:

This detail i did today was in full sun for the pre waxing and using zymol concours although i am sure that p21,s will give 99% of the result but maybe slightly less durability....
This cars paintwork was very bad and the owner a young lad over the road was in bed when i nicked his car for this detail....
The paintwork and flake is almost identical to vxr black....
Well got up today and felt bored so after all the Bugatti comments i decided to give one of the neighbours cars a quick detail....
Now this isnt a 20 hour write up or Lambo just a little fiesta but still was good fun....
I set myself a time limit of 4 hours and got started......
This was the car before i started...

IMG_1188.jpg

I left the wheels to soak for 5 minutes as they were really bad and the paintwork had not been washed for over 3 months....
Ooohhh the youth of today......
I then gave the car a foam bath with super snow foam and then washed off and 2 bucket washed with zymol autobathe ...
IMG_1190.jpg

Next i clayed the car using autobathe and ro water mixed cap to 1 litre and used zymol lehm clay which needed turning 10 times as car was pretty bad.....
IMG_1191.jpg

Next i rinsed off with ro water and dryed using aquatouch drying towels which i now swear by and ive ditched all my waffles....
I decided seeing as this was a "can i wash your car for free" situation i used concours on the black to see what it came up like as this is the first metallic black ive done.......
IMG_1192.jpg

So after hd cleanseing the whole car and then zymol concours applied i was really pleased with the result the concours gave......

To be totally honest im a cheeky so and so and go to my neighbours to watch football everyweek so while the owner was asleep his dad gave me the keys and this was my way of saying "Thanks for not having to subscribe to sky sports!!!!"
He was gobsmacked when he came out at 1pm........
I think the result was pretty good......;)

Would this be any better than Pinnacle or p21,s i cant say although the paintwork did mask the swirls on the car.........

Although i do have to say that pinnacle crystal mist really seems to be my favourite qd and really brings the shine out........Be interested to know whats in it as i have a gallon which is good value for money!!!!

I may do a split concours / p21,s / souveran test soon!!!

that veyron was amazing and even the ford looked good at the end here. so i gotta ask, whats with you and paul, is he training you how to get to his level or something?lucky guy if that is the case!

Next time you would like to watch a game, he should serve pizza and beer.

You sure do Great work.

I was sitting out on my veranda having a spot of tea this morning, enjoying the bright mornings air so to speak. I looked down at my driver pulling out my new Mercedes 722 and realized she was not up to the days task of a spirited romp thru the the wineries in the valley. So I called Paul and offered a jaunt in my jumbo and a gumbo of glazes, and looking to see him soon as he festers over my paint with his do-dads and trinckets. Sure it will set me back several quid, but damn I am worth it !!!!

lol hahaha, you make a very convincing european, scott

Amazing car and work it was so much fun to read

I would love to even see one of those let alone work on it.

You would have to have some major cujones to wetsand a veyron.

Amazing car, awesome video, and brillant detailing work! What does "HD cleansing" mean?

Reddwarf I was gonna ask the same question HD CLEANSE?

Wow that black color is amazing....just blown away from the reflection achived wow...very nice. I really liked the write up...very detailed...please keep sharing if at all posible post as many reviews as possible keep them coming that's how I learn.

Hi guys.....

Firstly let me apologize as i keep talking about the z word and i forget that i am on a pinnacle etc forum.......I just forget ......

Unfortunatly most of my products are zymol and zaino etc as more common to me .....

Secondly the aquatouch drying towels are large towels that i use and not the more common waffles.....They are a bit like egyptian towels and soak up water but do not need wringing out......I do a whole car with 1 towel and that includes qd,ing but i do use only ro water so car pretty dry before toweling off....Paul introduced them to me and they are what he uses in his video of the Maserati........

LINKS TO COMPETITORS IS NOT ALLOWED : USE GOOGLE !!!

Secondly hd cleanse is the paintwork prewax application that is made by zymol and has to go on before applying wax........It is a chocolaty smelling product that strips the paintwork and then lays down oils to make the paintwork have a massive shine so is a cleaner and polish in one......Unfortunatly i dont think there is a better product out there and Paul uses it religiously.........

Thirdly i am now classed as Pauls gofer!!!! No seriously we have become very good friends both having the same passion as you guys and he now likes the fact that someone can take a half decent photo and as an artist i can capture his expressions in his work for all to view......

On the Bugatti detail i amassed over 700 photos all 5 meg each and whitled it down to 90 which after editing and uploading took me over 20 man hours.....I also like to get my facts on a vehicle before going with Paul and ask questions to learn about the vehicle in hand.......I feel it is more professional when dealing with a customer or client to speak their language rather than say " bet she flies mate!!!"

The information i loved most was the maclaren f1 info i just relish facts like that and still cant believe it to be honest....

I think Paul now understands me and what i get out of it aswell and he gives me advice and has lent me a orbital and products to play with........

To be honest the thing i like most is that he is a very genuine guy and gets so wrapped up that i sometimes struggle to see what he does.......

For instance on the Bugatti detail when polishing after the wet sanding section he described how the heat would affect the polish on the sanded section and with an increase of speed to watch out for a change of oil structure and then bam "did you see it as he stopped........erm NO!"......

That was it i saw nothing but he knew exactly when to stop and change pad and product.........Experience i suppose!!!!!

Anyway i feel at home here and will post or give justin the chance to post all of our work and mine.......

The work you guys are doing is amazing. I look forward to more posts about your details... :applause:

Marc, I'm sorry mate, but that is probably one of the funniest things I've ever read! Loved it!!!

Whoever wrote it had a lot of time on their hands, but sure it as hell was well worth it! Thanks for sharing!

What an amazing car the Veyron is. Something that comes to mind is the possible damage the front end is open to at the speeds this car is capable of. I'm sure most of us have had a hard shell bug or a small pebble bounce
off the road and hit our windshield or our bumpers. Can you imagine the impact of a very small pebble at 100, 150 or 200 mph. This would have to hit
with a force resembling a .22 caliber bullet. What a heart breaker that would
be. I don't think they make a clear bra thick enough to help in those conditions. For that reason I will not be buying the Veyron, oh and yes the price.

I wonder if they give you one of those little bottles of touch-up paint with
purchase of the Veyron? At no charge I would hope. If so I may be forced
to rethink my decision to purchase. :awesome:
