hi,
i am based un the uk and i am in need of some help please. i have a dark metallic blue saab 900 se convertible that has ten years or so wax build up on the body panels.
basically the previous owner took the car to the nearest automatic car wash every so ofter where it would get washed and waxed.
although the paintwork isnt damaged it has dulled down a bit sinse it was new.
i have used a paint cleaning product called deep crystal paint cleaner from a company called meguiars. the people in the shop told me it would strip off all the old wax.
i applied it , rubbed it in then buffed it off.
i then applied t-cut to freshen up the paint but when i tried to buff off the t-cut it wiped off leaving what looks like wax rain drops. they polish off eventually but it takes some going and i fear for the paint with all this rubbing.
my only conclusion is there is still wax on the car.
can anyone tell me what i can do to remove ten years of wax build up?
i have been told to use a clay bar but i was also told this wont remove all the wax.
any help would be greatly appreciated guys.
cheers
Rob.
