Hi, I just used the clay block from Ultima, they call it the elastrofoam...

prior to using it, I washed car and look at the hood of the car from an angle, it looked clean and glossy, no problem...

but I did the baggy test then felt some minor bumps so I opened my new clay block and went to work, followed instructions, used it on the window some to break it in...

after I was done, I noticed some spots that looked like water spots...no matter how many times I QD over it or wiped it, it was still there...it wasn't there before the clay block, I am positive. So I know the clay block or lube caused it, but since I can't wipe it away, what is it? I can't seem to remove it,

can someone tell me what it is and how to get rid of it, QD? Waterless wash? soap?

I tried to get the best picture of it, but since its on a silver car, its pretty hard to see, but if you look at the reflection , you can sort of see it, right above my fingers

I cant really tell from the pics, but did you happen to rub her dry? Sometimes the block will catch on the paint if the surface isnt properly lubed and create a scuff. They are removable if thats in fact what it is.

sorry hard to capture since its silver, but if you look closely at the reflections, you can barely see it, its like dark water spots

Did you try compounding or polishing it out by hand?

I have had this happen with elastifoam... compounding is the only way I've found to remove it.
