I got some in last week and wanted to share my opinions of this product with everyone! So starting off with the basics....

Price - currently on sale for 9.99
Scent - A clean smell with a touch of perfume if you will...
Directions - Summed up, add one ounce to 3 gallons of water in a 5 gallon bucket (slightly more product in hard water areas) then jet water to fill a 5 galllon bucket up to activate suds.
Inital thoughts after filling bucket- obviously the scent was noticed first, sudsing ability is very good and it had a nice lubrication feel between my fingers!

I have used this on three different vehicles thus far. One had UPGP and the others had Nuba. All three were freshly waxed within the last two weeks so there was no noticeable boosting of gloss! I diluted at one ounce per bucket. It had very nice lubricity. The sheeting effect that it provided on all three vehicles was very effective in leaving little water remaining on the surface, only requiring a "blot dry" I found the cleaning power to be top notch, removing tar easier that any shampoo I have ever tried and also I noticed that it removed that oily film that builds up on windshields after highway driving in the rain. To my suprise I found it to clean the nubas just as effectivly as the UPGP! The suds more than lasted thru the entire wash process. I now can say after using it three times that I feel to be a high end quality shampoo!

pros

Price - At under .50 a wash, it is an exceptional value
Cleaning ability is superior
Safety to even delicate waxes. I noticed no diminishing effects of the beading quality
The sheeting ability was very impressive to me
Great lubricity
lasting suds

cons

None, but worth mentioning was the smell. Not my favorite but by all means not bad at all and it will certainly not keep me from getting more!

Thanks for looking, comments or questions are welcome

You really nailed it Dr Oldz!!!! :props: Excellent review. Thank you! :dblthumb2:
I completely agree with every single point you make. You really summed up every important thing about one of if not my very favorite auto shampoo.

Great review Doc!

I enjoy product reviews. Reading these give me some insight as to how products perform and if they're worth trying...

I will have to try this!! :props:

Definitely !!! However, it is one of the most durable wash soaps I have ever used. Brake dust etc never kills the suds. They keep going forever...:xyxthumbs:

very true ... some seems to linger in the middle of street for hours after.

Crap I just bought a gallon of Duragloss...oh well when it's gone I'll try the Ultima.

Duragloss and Ultima are my two favorites and I think Dodo Sour Power is my third. Got a bunch more to try though!!

Thank you. Not as refined as your reviews tho!! I think this is the second best on the market from what I have used.... Only behind Dodo BTBM.

I'm assuming that is Born to Be Mild. I don't see it in the store. Am I missing it?

Yes, Born to be Mild. Unfortunatly AG doesn't carry this wonderful product!!

Just to add.......this is even more impressive on tar than I first thought!!!! I have used a few more times since my inital review and just wanted to point this out for you guys!

Did't want to create a new topic so here's a bump to an older one. Below is my impression.

I've probably tried over a dozen top rated shampoos and Ultima is currently top of the pile for me. Very good cleaning power and very slippery, all with only 1oz per 3 gallons of water, making it very economical well. Bought the smaller bottle previously and I've just ordered a gallon of this stuff.

At a close 2nd place is the Optimum Car Wash, but I find it needs 1oz per gallon to get the same lubricity as 1oz per 3 gallon of Ultima.

I give the nod to DG 901 because of its ability to wash off a tad better especially in the sun when most people have no choice on the matter.

We all don't have garages or shade trees to help us out.
