Ultima WW user?

I know it's an old thread, but I absolutely love this stuff. I had tried ONR, but was not that impressed. I finally found a product that does everything I want it to do and the results are phenomenal.

Side question: Has anyone used a bug sponge or MF sponge to help with front bumper bug removal? I found the MF towel took way longer than usual to remove the bug stains and I don't want to push down too hard on the paint.

It should say it on the bottle I believe, it should say "new & improved" something along those lines.

I just ordered some UWW+ as well after hearing so many great things about it.

Here is a review I did for Meguiar's bug sponges. I feel these are a great addition to a waterless/rinseless wash session.

After picking up my first bottle of UWW+ for waterless washing a few months ago, I don't see any need or reason to try any other available.

However, I still love ONR for rinseless washes.

We are on the same page :) I just got a box of these but have yet to use them. I'm glad you directed me to your very well written review. However, the price is a big turn off. Have you considered washing and reusing them again? I'd say maybe you can get 3 or 4 more uses if you use the UWW+ then throw away? What do you think? I have a Pinnacle Bug Sponge I was thinking of trying next, or, I bought some MF applicators to possibly aid with the bug removal and hasten it up. I am interested in your thoughts.

Thank you.

If you try to wash these foam pads the built in cleaner will be washed away as well. So they are effectivley wash and throw away.

If you choose to wash them they can be re used again just without the built in " bug cleaner". At this point you will need a seperate APC or another "bug spray".

I've been using the Pinnacle Bug Sponge in conjunction with Duragloss 471 without any issues. They come off very easily with hardly any pressure.

Have you tried pre-soaking for a few minutes before wiping? Keep the front end waxed the back end don't matter much.

Thanks for the calculator, but just double checked my math on paper and 22oz to .5oz, so I guess 128 oz/22oz = 5.82. .5oz*5.82= 2.91 oz to the gallon.
I will just round to 3oz, I don't think it should cause any adverse effects.
I guaranty you wont have any ill effects.3oz makes 132 Oz.

I admit, no, I didn't let it soak. No explanation why, I guess for fear the sun would dry it up and cause more issues. I was being overly cautious I guess. The front is not yet waxed. I am going to do a treatment of Iron-X Snow soap real soon and then do an application of Meg's White Wax. Prior to this I have been using a variety of Spray Waxes (Zymol Glaze or Meg's Ultimate spray wax).

Isnt one wash and shine and the new green one is wash and wax?

The green is wash & wax. But the original blue has been updated a couple of times. That is where the v2, v3 is coming from. Wash & Wax is a pretty new product and hasn't had an update yet.

This is what their ad copy states

Ultima Waterless Wash Plus+ Concentrate has a measuring cup built into the bottle. Measure out 1/2 fl. oz. of concentrate and pour into the Ultima Waterless Wash Plus+ 22 oz. spray bottle. Fill the bottle with water and shake well.

Just a nitpick, but my interpretation of "0.5oz concentrate into 22oz bottle and fill with water" actually means 21.5oz water, not 22oz. Probably doesn't make a lick of difference but I took the instructions literally (that's the Engineer in me) and that's how I mixed mine.

The important thing though is I've been very impressed with the results of the RTU solution.:xyxthumbs:

I know I don't have v3, but how do you distinguish v1 from v2? I'm not quite sure which I have but I assume v1 based on the number of years I've had it. I got my 32oz bottle somewhere back in '08 or 09... I forget exactly when.

It's how I mix mine as well - 1:43 (not 1:44), based on their instructions.

So how does the green one compare to the UWW+? Im using the green one, so thinking if it is worth it to make the switch? Both cost almost the same in India. Almost 25$ for 16oz.

So will the difference be mind blowing, or should I continue with the green ONR? Even the green one adds UV protection among other things, just like the UWW.

V2 had a new formula sticker on the bottle.
