Under carriage cleaning

I have tried a bit of undercarriage detailing!

I got under the lower portion of my car and sanded and polished the silencer to a 'near' mirror shine(as I couldn't get a machine in that tight place!)

And cleaned up the suspension parts with cleansing and degreasing wipes and applied UTTG to most of the stuff(as I though that that stuff would really hold up against dirt/moisture etc.)

After my brief stint, I realized that at least a 2 post lift is really essential and would reduce a lot of head banging against the car's underbody and neck and hand strain while working on the underbody!

I'll be getting a 2 post lift for a car home I'm planning.

Btw for the fender-wells, I have a rubbery anti-rust coating on there and it really looks good after a quick rinse with the pressure washer > dry and GG undercarriage spray! :D

Now this is dedication to detailing :dblthumb2:

i thought i was the only one that detailed my fender wells..lol i usually clean them with a APC, then follow with a dedicated undercarriage spray. 3 that i know of. groits garage undercarriage spray. chemical guys bare bones (good stuff). and one i am waiting to try. just got a gal. of it. detail king black out. good thing about the black out is it can be cut 50/50 with water, so its getting like 2 gal. it is the lowest price of the 3.

How did the black out work? Detail King is only 15-20 minutes away and was wondering about that product. Truth is if you have any experience with ANY of their products please PM me. When I was there it just looked like a bunch of re-labeled bottles.
Thanks,
Eric
