Hi Guys...

Like to go from cleaning the outside to whats cleaning your insides.

I mean , inside your engines..

What additives do you use to keep your engine going at peak performance?

Mike

I probably should do more but regular oil and filter changes every 3-4000 miles and BG 44K fuel injector cleaner about every 4-5 fill up.

Which reminds me...i need to clean my filter elements on my CAI!

Thxs Puck...exact answers I'm looking for..
What products and how often...

Mike

Gotcha. I guess my only specific answer is BG brand 44K fuel injector cleaner added to the gas tank about every 4-5 fill ups at the gas station. My independent mechanic suggests fuel injector cleaner added at EVERY fill up but that's too expensive for me. I get the BG cleaner at about $21 a can and that's 1 tank full's worth! I do believe the best way to add it is for maybe 3-4 consecutive fill ups if you don't add it every time.

I use Chevron Techron concentrate. It's one of the best, at least IMO. :)

I use it right before every oil change or every 3000 miles to be specific.

Wooo Puck...that is way expensive..I've see Amazon has 3 cans for $50. I wound't mind adding it at every oil change , like Kecko says but each fill up...

Sounds much better :props:

6pk at $47

Thxs guys..

any more suggestions?

Chevron techron at each oil change & valvoline full synthetic oil.

Full synthetic changed every 5k and chevron additive every oil change.

-note 4 powered by T-Mobile

Absolutely nothing besides using Shell V-Power gasoline most of the time.

The big bottles of Techron go on sale at Costco about twice a year.

The six pack was 24.97

I like Lucas Fuel Treatment. A gallon jug runs about $30 at Advance Auto. (2-3 ounces of Lucas per 10 gallons of gas.) I wait until Advance Auto has their 40% off sale, which is all the time, and save about $12!!!

If you want good cleaning ability with a OTC product for your DD absolutely go with Techron every 3,000 miles. It's the best OTC specific fuel system cleaner. The chemistry is similar to the BG product mentioned above, some would say it's better.

I work for the company that makes 303 and Stabil fuel stabilizer. We don't make Techron, but it's an awesome product

Techron!

Tests over the years have pretty well shown, it IS the lead dog in the race.

WOW...Techron is the big winner here...

thxs so much..

on to Amazon :)

Mike

STP complete fuel system cleaner (gray bottle) and on my two higher mileage cars 65,000 and 72,000 I use STP's oil additive with changes.

Chevron Techron concentrate or Gumout REGANE every oil change (sometimes STP full system cleaner)--full synthetic only, on both cars.

Bam! Techron it is! Thanks, Mike, for asking the question that turned me on to this.

Holy hell 6pk at $47.... You been to costco lately? It's like $15 there for a 4 or 6 pk... I don't remember exactly.
