Unidentified Fluid in Gas Tank of a Generator

Picked up an early 2000’s 8hp Honda snowblower from a friend a couple years ago and absolutely love it. Works like a brand new machine.

Question for anyone familiar with them- Is there a recommended interval for changing the hydrostatic fluid?

Honda snow machines are incredible. Congrats!

I'm not sure of the HS fluid change schedules, but I would change yours (being a used unit) immediately.

And if it were me (depending on hours of use), every other season or so.

I inherited my Honda lawnmower from my dad when he passed away over 15 years ago. It’s still chugging along even though I don’t take very good care of it and pieces of it are breaking down/off from use or abuse (self push transmission, broken drive belt, bent blade due to rock). I have had to clean the carberator a couple of times but that’s it.
