Unoffial Millionth Post Runners Up Giveaway!!

Sorry I've been "hogging" it. The weather has been awful here! I'm hoping this week, or this weekend. Monday for sure! Maybe even tomorrow. I'm pumped to get it on, though!

I know what you mean. It's been warm and sunny then today snow...

I'd use it on my wife's black, 2013 Honda CRV. With a baby coming in a few weeks I have a feeling her daily driver isn't going to get much love for a while. :xyxthumbs:

Because I have a soft spot for black cars; I decided to pick the first black car that responds (Since I get to pick the next winner right? Or did I read it wrong and the OP does?)

Either way; if I get a vote; I vote this guy. Since I'm done with it; I send it to him, right?

You got Romans. That's how this thing is supposed to work. Then he picks the next winner after he coats his ride.

Btw what do you think of the black label? I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Was the prep polish easy to work with?

This is awesome! I'm a little too new at this so I am not going to enter (don't want to waste that awesome product lol) I just received my 2nd order from AutoGeek, its very easy to drop a chunk of change here haha, and cant wait to do my first Official FULL detail.

Just wanted to say this is why I LOVE this forum!!

:dblthumb2: Pay it forward post like this give me a huge smile.

Coating polish was a dream to work with, and left the car really clean "looking". The coating itself had a strong 'solventy' smell, and went on very very easily as well. Left behind a deep black. Been raining every day since I put the coating on (beads up incredibly!) so I'll have to wait to give it a good wash and take come pics and show y'all what she looks like coated.

Nice take a picture of the beads too

Thanks Romans5.8! I'm glad I decided to spend this past weekend doing a full detail on my car instead of the wife's CR-V. It's crying for attention after the snow-filled winter we had in Maryland this year.

Sweet! Can't wait to see the pics.

And congrats to the second winner, Loser. Lol. Good luck getting that black CRV all shined up and looking purty :dblthumb2:

:bump2::bump::bump2:

What's up guys. Hope everyone is having a beautiful week ... free from swirls and bird bombs and door dings :)

Haven't heard any updates here lately. Loser, hopefully you get the package from Romans? Not sure what part of the country you're in, but spring is finally in the air here in New England! Hopefully you get a few nice days in a row to coat your ride :dblthumb2:

Take care all

According to the friendly neighborhood postman he should've gotten it today. Can't wait to see how it looks on that car!!

I just got home from work and the package was waiting for me on my front step. Thanks again Romans5.8 and especially dpk20x for the chance to try it out! The wife and I are out of town this weekend so next Saturday is when I plan on tackling the job. I'll be sure to do before and after shots as well for everyone. I'll also start deciding who to send it to next. :xyxthumbs:

Sweet that's what I like to hear!

Looking forward to the before and after shots

It's been a busy weekend but I was able to get the CR-V coated yesterday and I'm really happy with the results.

I started out Friday after work with a good two-bucket wash. It wasn't in too bad of shape but it certainly wasn't clean. It got caught out in the rain one day and pollen season doesn't help.

I worked into Friday night, drying the CR-V, claying, taping the trim off, sealing the wheels and dressing the tires. On Saturday, I went over it with my GG DA polisher, a couple 5.5" white pads, and some CG P-40 finishing polish to take care of a few random love marks I added over the winter. Then I used the DP Coating Prep Polish with the same setup. It was a breeze to use and left the car looking great.

Once that was done, I added the paint coating using 2 sprays per panel. It went on really easy with the Lake County foam coating applicators. I'm glad I ordered them last week with some other stuff I had gotten. I only have garage shots at the moment as I'm still letting the coating cure.

Thanks again to dpk20x for doing this pay it forward thread. This was my first time applying a coating and it went really well. I'd highly recommend it for others who are hesitant about coating applications. In the future I'll probably continue to use coatings on my wife's DD if the longevity delivers. But for my own car, I'll stick with sealants and waxes. There are still too many LSPs and combos out there I still want to try

I'll be picking the next winner/recipient tonight or tomorrow when I get some more free time.

That looks great! Now go get your 12 pack of corona for tomorrow and enjoy the view!
