Up Close & Personal: Detailer's Paint Coating

Your paint is perfect as it can be. I can't believe how glossy it looks - it does indeed look like glass. And I'm looking forward to trying to this set of products just because it's so easy to use!!!

Great write up once again Nick!!! I enjoyed reading every bit of it. The pictures make me feel like I was there ready to dive into your car's paint.

Wow. I think this takes the cake as the easiest coating to apply. Definitely a game changer. I'm on the verge of ordering it :)

why didn't you just get the 32 oz bottle of prep polish? Would've saved you five dollars...

You can re-use towels/applicators after use. Just make sure to thoroughly wash them.

I washed the car earlier this week with Detailer's Rinseless Wash & Gloss - about 700 miles worth of dirt and grime was removed with very little effort. :dblthumb2:
 
I have been having fun watching the dew that beads up during the night just fly off my hood when I hit about 40 mph. :dblthumb2:
 
So I just purchased some Duragloss 105, 601 and AW. Then I stumbled on this thread. I was going to try the combination out for a solid winter prep, and then wondered to myself whether this coating would do the same job and possibly better. Would there be any reason to use a combo like D601/105/AW on top of a coating like this? Or would the added benefit of having another layer only be marginal compared to the protection provided by the DP coating? I'd hate to apply a coating like this and then spend the time applying D601/105/AW if there's really no point.

Also how would you rate/compare the DP coating to others such as opti-coat, vx1, etc. Better, same?
