"The quality of life just went up!" I enthusiastically proclaimed after testing the first sample of the just-introduced Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush. That was shortly followed by "this thing is built like a tank!" and "definitely worth the wait!"

The Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush is the answer to hundreds of emails and dozens of phone calls from loyal Autogeek customers over the years asking for a wheel brush that could be used, abused, washed and reused thousands of times. The wait is over because the Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush has arrived.

The Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush was designed for the detailer that requires a brush built to withstand the rigorous use of every day wheel cleaning. From the half-inch thick, heavy-duty non-slip polypropylene handle to the chemically resistant Nylex bristles, the Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush was designed to outperform and outlast any other wheel brush.

Design

The Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush features the same chemical-resistant Nylex bristles found on the popular Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush and Junior models. These unique bristles are gentle enough for sensitive wheel finishes but still effective for loosening brake dust, dirt and grime. Like the other Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brushes, the Nylex bristles on the PRO model regain their shape, even after years of use.

Construction

The aforementioned Nylex bristles are attached to a half-inch thick, heavy-duty non-slip polypropylene handle. This stiff, dare-you-to-beat-me-up handle is the biggest difference from the flexible handle of the other Daytona brushes. The heavy-duty handle of the Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush doesn’t flex or bend which enables maximum agitation so even the most neglected wheels are easily cleaned.

Brake Dust Beware!

The Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush enables you to remove ferrous brake-dust particles with ease. By combining the proven cleaning ability and gentle nature of chemically-resistant Nylex bristles attached to a long, heavy-duty polypropylene handle, you’re able to clean deep within your wheel barrels, removing brake dust and grime in places unreachable with other wheel brushes.

looks like a winner nick! guess the jr. version is to follow?

Re: Up Close & Personal: Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush!

Great re-design Nick! :dblthumb2:

Notice the robust new handle!! :props:

Re: Up Close & Personal: Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush!

Interesting that the handle no longer bends... I'm guessing so many people complained about the breaking daytona handles that they changed it. Looks like a nice redesign.

So how does it compare to the wheel woolies, Nick?

Re: Up Close & Personal: Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush!

I'm guessing the splatter concern is still there. I'm still using the original and still going strong. Neat redesign but getting behind the spokes will need another brush.

Re: Up Close & Personal: Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush!

This looks like an outstanding wheel brush and I almost bought it last night. I decided to give the Wheel Woolies a shot instead and will be posting some reviews as soon as I get the chance to use them.

Just introduced? I bought mine about 4months ago

Re: Up Close & Personal: Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush!

Looks like they have listened to the masses. I don't see that thing breaking with use. I have never had a problem with my Daytona brushes. I tend to hold it further up the handle which gives it more support.

I did have an older EZ Detail brush break years ago.

Anything is possible. ;)

The PRO is another option for wheel cleaning. We designed it with the professional detailer in mind and that's obvious from the second you hold it in your hand.

The Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush is about the same size as the largest Wheel Woolie. The Daytona PRO is able to get into tighter spots thanks to the flexible bristles (even though the head of the brush is bigger).

Re: Up Close & Personal: Daytona Speed Master PRO Wheel Brush!

Interesting. Once my original falls apart I will take a look into these. Reminds me of a toilet scrubber.

Looks like a toilet brush LOL!

Toilet review pending:dblthumb2:

I think this make a nice addition to the brush collection. I really like that it has a rubber handle.

It is also great for certain wheels like the 2011 Honda CRV with steel rims. These rims have a slight lip around the spokes and the barrels are hard to scrub. :props:
