updated my website, let me know what you think!

Pro Style bro! :dblthumb2:

1 thing: on the home page where it says 'A great option for those looking.....at a higher price point.' I would add an or
'those looking for a quality shine on their daily driver or show car'
(not in those exact words lol) but you get the jist...:props:

dont let your links turn purple after you click on them

I have to ask... are those times pretty close? if so I would close my doors before I even opened. I'm in Florida and I know that different regions can command different amounts but I think that your prices (for what you give) are waaaay low. tell you what, if you move to Florida... call me and I will subcontract you lol!! :dblthumb2:

Liked it...simple straightforward and clear. Yes the prices are a bit low, but it might help you in the initial stages if you can hold on for them. You ARE in a higher price point area...goodnight, those guys in Schaumburg are good for more. BTW--everyone has their preferences, but personally I liked the purple when clicked...nice bright look, and I am old enough to be everyone's father on here...old school all the way--I even tuck my shirts into my slacks because its neater...LOL..and I LIKED the purple. Good luck...BTW, on second thot some of those guys in Schaumburg are a bit cheap...go for it.:dblthumb2:

I like it! :xyxthumbs:

Prices seem a little low, but if it works for you that's great.

I get why he charges what he does. People in this area may have money, but they do not like to part with it.

I like your site a lot by the way.

thanks for the comments, but can you guys be more specific? which services do you think i should charge more for?

i was thinking that i should eliminate claying from my exterior detail and keep the price the same, and make a new package, more expensive, with claying and polishing with an AIO.

I am also in the process of modifying my website. My lil brother did the current one for me for free. Now I just contracted a company to do it for 2g......Most of the cost is SEO....which is very important to me...

yeah ill take a look at my prices again haha...do you mean my times are too long?

i love the website but i could not get the gallery to work, it just kept loading. Also, i have a question about your business and how it works out. I see that you request water and electricity from the owner, do you still get decent business this way? do the owners mind?

I could not get the gallery to work either ... also from what I could see on the Gallery page, the navigation links are missing. I would make sure all of your pages have the main navigation bar.

well, it all depends on how fast you are while still doing quality work.. i'm not saying you are slow cause everyone is different.. for example..

if you roll up to someone's house and to do their honda car and you get there, BS with the customer and start setting up, that's 15 min. minimum there and then if your low side is 6 hours then you get paid and load up.. by then you have at least 6.5 hours invested. you get a check for $150. bam! you earned $23 per hour. that being said.. if you're fine with that then that's great. but as an example, I charge $129 for the same thing that you charge $150 for minus the clay. if I do that job and add on the clay I charge $169 and it rarely takes me 3.5 hours for it all. With gas, insurance, advertising and product you will soon find you need to make more. If I do 3 per day I will bring home $500+ per day. drive time included..

these are just my thoughts. I do like your website.. nice and clean. just think about what you need to charge in order to to make the money you are going to be happy with.. don't forget your expenses and time between jobs etc. if you are good, they WILL call you back. :xyxthumbs:

do you work alone or with help?

i also run my hot water extractor on all carpets and upholstery, not just stains, maybe that accounts for some time. what really takes a long time for me is cleaning the door jamb hinges.

im sure im not as efficient as i can be, but theres no way i could finish an interior detail with shampoo, cleaning and dressing everything, washing claying and waxing in 3.5hrs...especially on a big car like a minivan. just vacuuming the interior and then cleaning the door panels, door jambs and hines, pedals, dashboard, steering wheel, center console, shifter, cup holders, trim, and all vinyl+plastic in the rear would take me 2-3hrs on a sedan if its moderately-heavily soiled. maybe im too detailed, i dont know. im going 2 do an express interior and exterior on my car in a little bit, ill see how long that takes me but at least an hour and a half im sure...haha ill post back.

well i just called a car wash that has multiple people working on a car at once, and the guy told me it would take about 4 hrs on a sedan to do a full interior detail on a four door sedan, including shampoo and hot water extraction, i guess my times arent too bad, besides its prolly better for me to overestimate than underestimate.

i still think i need to change my packages a bit.

i think ill keep the $150 package but remove the claying and spraying/wiping with IPA, and ill remove applying spray wax to rims.

then i think ill change my full interior detailing starting at $100, thats really where most of the work is anyways.

The full exterior detail will be $50, but wont have claying/spraying with IPA, just a nice wash, rejuvenate trim, dress tires, hand wax, spray wax on emblems grille and rims, then wipe down with quik detailer.

ill make another exterior detail package with claying and spraying with IPA, then light polishing with poliseal and a green LC pad. ill make that start at $100

what do you guys think?

I would hope that the car wash place could do an interior faster than 4 hours with multiple people... I am by myself and have done some pretty scary minivans in under 3.. I'm not trying to say I'm mr. cool or anything but i don't twiddle my thumbs either. (did I just say twiddle my thumbs?? man, i'm OLD) anyway, I say take your time.. don't rush.. if it takes you 10 hours to do an interior then that's what it takes. I know you will do the job right. I just wanna see you make $$ cause I know how it feels to do a job and not feel like you are getting paid enough. it sucks.

you say door hinges take alot of your time... how are you doing them? maybe there is a way to shorten the time..

I usually do jams with a pump sprayer of APC and pressure wash them when I'm doing wheels.. takes 5 minutes and they are spotless... just to say how I do it..

ok i updated the site, the pictures arent uploaded yet but the link works. the prices are updated and i added a wash and hand wax package.

i checked to see what car washes in this area charge, and my prices are pretty close now. hopefully business will pick up:P

thanks catfish, yeah i was actually a little surprised to hear that it would take them 4 hrs, especially since they have more people working on a car. i just dont wanna take too long because time is money. if i could get my times down to maybe 4 hrs, i could do 2 cars a day and sleep on all the money i make:P

door jambs? usually i spray w apc or opc, then use different brushes to clean them. then i wipe the dirt away with a microfiber.

thats a good idea actually, but i dont have a pressure washer haha. i guess i could just use the hose...does the interior get a little wet when you pressure wash the door jambs?
