Hey Guys!

I've been using the Porter Cable 7424XP for the past year and I think it's time I get another/upgrade. Friends has been interested in having their car detailed and I would offer to show and help them.

I want to add another one so two of us can work on the car instead of taking turns. I figure since I'm going to get another that I should probably upgrade.

I'm looking at the Megiuar's G110v2 and Griot's 6 Inch. I've been googling and searching the forums but everything I find is back in 2010. I'm wondering after a few years what people think between the two and which is more of a worthy upgrade from a Porter Cable.

From my understanding the Griot's 6 Inch is more powerful than the Megiuar's G110v2. I just find it weird since the G110v2 cost more but then again just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it's better.

Those that have upgraded or used them any suggestions? I'm looking to take advantage of the 15% of that's going on. Thanks!

Groits garage 6in is my go to polisher it's versatile(uses 3, 5, and 6 inch backing plates), has one of thee best warranties, and very comfortable machine in general

If you want to make a great leap that will be worth it in the long run the I would look into the Flex 3401

The ability of the machine will make your work faster and better. With the forced dual action you won't have to worry about pad rotation or lack there of.

I'd have to agree with this. I was comparing the pc, and the 3401 today, on SEVERELY oxidized paint, and the Flex just gobbled it up. Both units had cutting pads, and m105, and the Flex proved it's worth.

I actually did it backwards lol I got the flex 3401 and love it! Then got the pc for small jobs headlights interior etc

After thinking and reading all the reviews I've ordered the Flex 3401 with the backing plate to use LC 5" pads. Thanks for everyone's opinion!
