Upholstery protectant: Please help select for new car

I just bought a new Honda Accord with cloth/fabric seats. I would like to protect the seats as soon as possible. What is the most recommended/effective product for doing this?

I have seen thee following products mentioned online:

1. 303 High Tech Fabric Guard.
2. Scotchgard Protector for Automotive Upholstery

However, I have no idea which is better etc. Are there any other products that are far better?

same car, same question! Almost pulled the trigger on some 303 last night, but backed out.....should have bought it! Oh well, let's see what everyone says. From what I've read, 303 products are great!

I've used both and I prefer 303 High Tech Fabric Guard.... It far outlasts Scotchguard.

Depeding on your fabric color, 303 High Tech Fabric Guard leaves a yellow stain mark if you do not spray evenly or too much. I have used on light silver cloth and it leave an ugly water stain.

Really? I've never had any problem on my wife's light gray fabric...I do use multiple thin coats (~5-10 in between coats) instead of trying to cover in one coat, maybe that's why.

Been using Scotchgard for many years without issue. I prefer the can that is used for carpeting and rugs. I believe its still blue. Just read carefully as their cleaner and protectant look very similar when side by side.
