As expected, it's going to take UPS a year to get my order here--2009.

Ordered on Dec 27; AG processed and shipped on 29th.

UPS delivery date: Tuesday, 6 Jan

Yes, I know the UPS guidelines.

Problem is it will sit at the UPS distribution center, 2 miles from my
house for 5 days before its delivered (can't pick it up on Friday,
because they will be closed that day also).

Can you say "FEDEX"--they're the folks that worked on XMAS to get
packages to people.

I know for you it seems UPS is in the bad, but I can tell you just as many problems we have with FedEx. But considering the amount of packages we ship they are great. But if you prefer FedEx let us know, we use FedEx too, just let us know. But remember all carriers have their pluses and minuses, but we have accounts with them all (US Mail, FedEx, UPS, and foot delivered) :D so just let us your know choice. We are flexible!

Thanks Meghan--I might just send you a new pair of NIKE's.

I appreciate it, as usual.

Happy Camper

PS I peaked at your tracking and your order is following the correct days. You ordered on a Saturday, it shipped on a Monday and UPS like FedEx is shut down for the holidays which will of course add a couple of days. Just FYI. You could always move to Fla, you could get your shipments faster and the weather is much nicer!:D

FedEx is a lot better at dealing with than UPS. I used to use UPS for shipping but gave them up for FedEx and USPS.

I think you need a distribution center in Chicago, so I can get my stuff next day :)

with DHL closing its doors this coming month, I can only hope FEDEX and UPS improves versus swallowing the competitions path. I dont find USPS to be much better either and their tracking is dismal at best.

AeroCleanse, I would volunteer to open one in the out skirts of Chicago. And IMG if you send some, its ladies size 7:D

I volunteer for chicago location, (Tinley Park area :P):D
Im the MAN

I use FedEx in my biz, but generally I'm sending papers and documents so didn't matter who I used. Except I rarely use them anymore as I do everything online and even have an electronic fax, quicker and easier.

UPS 101:
1) drive up to house
2) get out and only go as far as the beginning of the driveway
3) punt kick the package or box to the front door
4) run to truck and drive away fast

Meghan,

Good news, my wife is a size 7, so you might get your wish--what size
Coach Purse do you wear--I could sneak one of those out of her closet too.

I was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base, and my twins were born in Melbourne--who knows, I kind of miss raking the pine neddles on XMAS.

The only time Fed Ex asks for a signature is if the shipper requests it, otherwise its left at the front door. People would be more ticked off if the had to sine for everything, thats why its left at the front door to begin with. You can't blame UPS in this case, there people like time off over the holidays as well.

Not true. You can tell fedex to leave something without a signature, but thats not done by default. FedEx always asks for my signature. Stuff that just gets left at the door tends to walk off by itself.

Im not a fan of either UPS or FEDEX but when you loook at the amount of packages sent and the complaints i think they do pretty dam good.
Yes you will get screwed every now and then but you have to live with it (like I do) Now during holiday season when they are overloaded and 2 people on a truck its just part of the holiday season

A signature is always a given in a place of business, residence completely different. If your driver is getting a signature from you at a residence thats odd, like I said, unless the shipper wants one. Of course you can leave a note to have them leave the package, not sure what thats has to do with anything.

all i know, is that i placed an order at autogeek today, and right after that i placed an order at exceldetail.com....excel uses fed x and autogeek is using ups for me....

autogeek delivery date is jan 7
excel is jan 3

both were confirmed by tracking numbers....

make some sense out of that....

Quite a few years ago I had a Vallentine 1 radar detecter that was delivered by UPS and left at my front door stolen. I filed a claim and one of their adjusters came out to question me about my claim and he told me that their drivers make judgement calls as to how the area looks as to if they leave the package or not. This was a $300.+ item and back then, the shipper didn't demand a signature, although it seems odd that they didn't considering it's value. I live in the burbs and on school days a lot of kids walk past my house on their way home and so I have to guess maybe one of them grabed it. These days things have changed alot, and all but low value packages need to be signed for and everything else, they leave on my deck in the back yard. Remember those days when you didn't need to lock you front door? Don't laugh, I know I'm a lot older then many of you folks.:D

driver--if Package Is From Pbma, Please Leave In
electrified Barbed Wire Container--thank You

that's good to know, and next time i do an order i'll choose FedEx. i get my packages before noon, and with UPS they don't come around till after 5pm when it starts getting dark...
