I was wondering when i upload pictures it only shows the thumbnail size then other ones i see that other members upload are full size pictures. They mentioned using something like photobucket i'm just wondering how most do it .I looked for a faq and didn't see one unless i missed it .Thanks

I just sign up for photo bucket and up loaded pics to there site i'm going to try and trasfer pictures from there too here and see how it works

Did you copy and paste the img code?
Yeah they give you a choice of a few looks like but it seems like it only comes up as a thumbnail will have too try again .I guess if i use this thread to try it no one will get pissed .I use the advance function were it says manage attachments and copy and paste the url into it

One more try LOL This using the img code .

Ok if anyone else reads this .I used to photobucket too store my photos online . When i wanted to post one of my pictures i copy and pasted the url right into the post.I used the link that says URL CODE .Talk about feeling stupid thanks to josh LOL he is in collage .I guess i could of called my son also LOL

Daniel son, on photobucket you shall see options for codes, each one has a specific use and function that cannot be mixed with another. You have to choose the right one young grasshopper.

If you really want to amuse yourself, when you see your p-bucket page with photos, hover over a photo and try to copy the IMG tag when the box pops up :D

Just for the sake of rambling on ... (much like beating a dead horse).

There are two ways to post a picture.
  1. Upload a photo onto AG's forum.
  2. Link a photo from another location.
If you upload a photo by using the "Manage Attachments" button under Attach Files, you are putting a photo onto AG server (storing it there). If you use a link, obviously another server is storing the photo (like Photobucket) and you are just creating a link to this forum. Harley, if you would like to upload a photo to AG without putting it on Photobucket you can still get the full picture to show, it's just a little tricky.
  • Upload your photo as in the past.
  • After it uploads, right click on the attachment.
  • Select Properties
  • Right click and copy the Address of the attachment
  • Then, back in your post, use the little square icon that looks like a yellow picture frame with mountains in it. Paste your attachments Address in this window.
  • The end result should look like
or you'll see the picture appear.
I find it easiest to use the little pic icon all the time, just entering the photo's address in the box (no matter where the pic is stored). Just make sure after you copy an address from Photobucket or wherever, it should only have http:// in the space once ... followed by the URL address.

I wonder how much sense that made?
