Ok, who is watching it?

How many even like soccer or futbol?

I for sure can't wait for that game.

I might watch it. I only watch soccer when there is a big game on. I've played it for 15 years though!

I think its caught on in the US much more than it had back in the 90's. I remember watching the World Cup 94' and everybody would say soccer was boring. Not enough scoring, blah, blah, blah....

The other day I took my wife to the movies and overheard a few guys talking about soccer. They said they liked it and that it was exciting. So it seems like it's catching on. I think it becomes even more popular when National Teams play like in the Copa Oro/Gold Cup Tournament.

Its going to be a good game. Ive played soccer all my life and i love the sport. If i remeber correctly, last year the final was usa vs. Mexico as well and mexico won 5-0. Lets see what happens this time!

I played soccer my whole life and just actually gave it up last year (I'm 28). I don't have the chance to catch many soccer games, but when they are on and I have the time you bet I'm watching.

What's soccer?

Also, the only sport that is recognized world wide and you don't need expensive equipment to play. This is why its the No. 1 sport in third world countries. :xyxthumbs:

I went to 6 games last week, not because I like it, but for other reasons... I went to 2 games at the Red Bull arena, 2 at the Medowlands, and 2 in DC... And I had enough of that madness!!!! Man, they get crazy!

I also went to the semi finals, and to the finals 2 years ago, and had Concacaf credentials, and was able to make it into the field...

There is no way I was gonna take the trip for this final, so I will be watching from home, hoping is not another 5-0 like it was 2 years ago!!!

It's not just the #1 sport in 3rd world countries, it's the #1 sport in the world---it's just taking the US a little longer to catch on.

Probably because there are more exciting sports to watch.

Heres what i find funny. Take any person in the street. And i mean any person, give them a basket ball and tell them to juggle it from one hand to the other. They are going to do it with no problem. Give any person a soccer ball and tell them to juggle it from foot to foot and i can assure you 1 out of 20 will be able to do it correctly. It takes A LOT more skills to use your feet and control a ball than your hands.

I'm definitely not going to try and change anybody's minds here, but dribbling a basketball takes just as much practice as kicking a ball. Comparing the two is apples to oranges. Thankfully both sports exist and we get to choose which we prefer.

This is hilarious, Mexico is playing in USA territory and it looks like a Mexico home game. All you see is green shirts :D

I guess this is good business for the US since the game has been sold out.

Well, with taking Canada down in hockey taking Mexico in soccer would be the full sweep
