I'm about to do a WG 3.0 Swirl remover / Finishing Glaze / Deep Gloss Sealant on my car and was wondering if it's a good idea or not to use CarPro Eraser before the Sealant. I know in general it's a good idea to clean the surface of any remaining wax/polish from previous steps but because Wolfgang calls their polish Finishing Glaze, I got stuck and wonder if that's supposed to stay there under the sealant or can be cleaned with Eraser before proceeding.

Thanks!

Just apply the sealant after polishing (per product description page for the finishing glaze). No need for Eraser in between.

So much confusion over the word glaze...

The Wolfgang Finishing Glaze is NOT a glaze. It's a fine cut polish.

If it were me?

After wiping off the Wolfgang Finishing "polish" would immediately apply the Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0.

I wouldn't waste my time, waste the Eraser or risk marring my paint with the hope that the sealant just might make a stronger bond than applying it without chemically stripping the paint.

Don't turn something very simple, (washing and waxing your car), into rocket science.

Have fun... I'm sure it will look great.

Thank you! I'm just getting started in this world of detailing. Always loved good looking cars, never took the time to do it myself. This is about to change now :)

Haven't done it yet. Waiting for warmer weather. Maybe early May :)

So I ended up not working on the car I was going to. I traded it in this weekend and got a new one. I didn't let the dealer wash it after removing the wrap so I washed it at home and it's swirl free :)
Having said that, I just need to do a decontamination and then light polish to make it super shiny before applying the WG sealant. Do you think it's best to try the Paintwork Polish Enhancer with a white pad or go with Finishing Glaze with a white pad before using Deep Gloss Paint Sealant on a black pad?

Thanks

Give your car a quick clay with something light if it needs it (important part here) then hit it with the finishing glaze before sealant application.

Yes, I'll do Iron X and clay before fine polish and sealant.

Congrats on the new car! And kudos for not letting the dealer give your their complementary DISO.

Correct.

Go with the Wolfgang Finishing Glaze.

The Wolfgang Finishing Glaze is a fine cut polish. It will do EVERYTHING a chemical only paint cleaner will do and more and do a better job of it.
