Used the New Ultima as a No Rinse,and...

Oops, typo

Jim, I was stressed about what I was dealing with on my car and whether or not I should be using my waterless. (ended up being just the ticket) But anyway I'll have to play some more. Do you mean the slickness of the product or the slickness of the paint after using the product? I have an opinion on the slickness of the paint afterwards but I don't want to state it until I play with it again.[/QUOTE]
I meant while applying. I dont think I felt the paint after or maybe I did.

ok so we have 2 containder in the rinseless category ? Ultima Vs. ONR?

IMO there are 3 rinseless contenders. DP RW is top tier too. Ultima doesnt fare well in a cost comparison with gallons of ONR or DP RW. IMO there are only 2 waterless washes that get my future business as of today, Ultima & OOC and Ultima is the current best cost/gallon value @ $3.50 compared to OOC @ $10. DP WW or PB S & W cant compete on the ssame levvel of performance as these new products. Cost is NNO comparison @ $40 for DP and $32 for PB. Then consider that you need a QD to get comparable gloss from DP or PB. IMO Optimum & Ultima have set a new standard for waterless. DP, PB, CG, Griots have a lot of work to do to get competitive with these guys. Just my $.02 FWIW.

Looking forward to your thoughts Corey!

Jim, I'm all finished writing my review. I could post now but want to try one more test on a freshly washed car tommorrow. It's purely a slickness test... to verify where the slickness of the paint after UWWP rates.

You are da man, Corey! I was really impressed with it as I was OOC! I didnt experiment yet. I look forward to your review!

I completely agree. They are both really wonderful products!

:props: to both Ultima and Optimum

I am really looking forward to your review.. Sounds like an awesome product. Can't wait to see how it stacks up against Opti-Clean...:dblthumb2:

Well I did a side by side comparison on the Ford tailgate. The Ultima was slicker on application. That being said, the end result was very similar. Neither scratched anything and both left a high gloss. IMO OOC comes off glass a little better. There is little difference IMO!

I wonder if OOC can be used as a rrinseless?

Jim, this question from my Q&A with Dr. G. asks the opposite question. However based on the answer I would assume the answer to your question is yes. Still for me I'm betting with the percetionist that Dr. G.is... each product is designed specific for its purpose and you may be better off using each for its purpose. What would the dilution be? We should ask Dr. G. this question specifically.

1. - For what reason would someone not just use ONR in the place of OOC for the purpose of cleaning paint. What I mean is: When a car is at the stage where OOC would be a good solution for cleaning, why not use ONR in a spray bottle and MF towels to achieve the same result?

No Rinse used as a quick detailer works fine for a car with light dust while Opti-Clean can be used on a car with several days of build up. The reason is that Opti-Clean contains the same polymers in No Rinse that encapsulate dirt but at a much higher concentration than No Rinse QD as well as other polymers not used in No rinse that offer more lubricity and gloss.
