I know the directions say to avoid using soap and water as lubricant, but I'm wondering what effect it would really have.
Ideally to save time, I would wash the car thoroughly, rinse, then use my soapy water from the soap bucket in the 2bm to dunk the Speedy Prep towel and wipe the car down. This would prevent me having to dry the car then go about spraying it with clay lube as I use the Speedy Prep.
Then I can just rinse all the soap off again, dry and go right to polishing.
Is this something the manufacturer might frown upon. Will it have any ill effects over doing it the long way of drying then using clay lube?
