Using customer's electric and water

If you get generator get one that is quiet. Honda & Yamaha are 2 of the best. The depot has a Genrac that a lot of guys use at the race track with no issues.

Two of the best things about the Honda: 1. They are very quiet; 2. They are sensitive electronics (computer) friendly. The power output is in some cases, cleaner power than what you get out of the wall outlet. Other generators produce a square-wave output that will reek havoc on computers and other sensitive electronics. Honda is the only brand of generator I'll even consider.

I didn't think about the electronics. Good point, thanks.

My business as of now is just mobile and I have a steady customer base. I hook up to clients utility's with no problem and they do not mind. The convenience of you coming to them cancels out using their water & electricity. If there is no utility's available, I give them the option to drop off. Eventually I will provide my own water & power.

A generator is nice to have I use a Honda 2000. Most of the time they show me where their water and hose is. I don't use either.

I like my generator because I can run two things at once. I have a helper. Using customers power you never know how far away the outlet is. Also if I had my vac and compressor going on someone's wall outlet it will blow a fuse.

As far as water goes check out chemical guys Eco pod. Nice machine. Cost $500 but a great piece of equipment. Fills a void nicely for mobile guys who use onr.

Same here. I just don't have the finances right now to get even a small trailer with water and power. Also, my credit is shot to hell, so I can't even finance one. Guess I'll have to save up.
