Using Lake Country Pads manually

They make ccs foam hand applicator pads, Hydrotech hand pads, and long ccs hand pads.
I used Hydrotech pads for the d/a recently. I'll just say - compounding and polishing by hand is a real chore!
The combination of Cyan hydrotech foam, and Menzerna FG400 had a lot of "resistance" to moving on the surface, compared to a wax or sealant.

If you are on a tight budget I'd get a PC or if really tight an HF orbital. Once you use a machine you'll understand what all the fuss is about. Then eventually you'll have a gg6, gg3, lhr21, lhr75e, pe14, a 3401, 300 microfibers, $4000 of polishes, waxes, and sealants, and a $3500 pressure washer

This is a good way to do it if you want to start out by hand: Pinnacle Polishin’ Pal is an ergonomically shaped urethane handle that holds specially designed foam pads using tough hook & loop backing.

I'm always interested why newbs seem to gravitate to the Klasse Twins (I started out that way too, but back then it was pushed pretty hard as part of "the perfect shine" when topped by a wax, and there weren't as many good options as today).
Just use very small amounts of the Klasse products and don't let them dry too long if you get buildup at panel edges, etc.

Actually the Meguiar's pads that come with that system are pretty good. I don't know what "speed" to run your drill at for those...but you don't want to get Klasse AIO hot or it will flash and gum up, and you'd typically apply an LSP (wax/sealant) like Klasse SG at a very low speed.
You can work by hand with the Klasse Twins, you will be fine if the paint isn't that bad (clay first)...if the paint is bad you should probably be using something else anyway.

As much as I love Meguiar's, I would never recommend the DA Power System to anyone. Maybe if I tried it I might feel differently, but it looks uncomfortable to use. Plus, at $35-40, you could just about buy the Harbor Freight DA.

I haven't used it either, and I wasn't really recommending it, I was commenting on the pads, since the OP seems to be fixated on LC pads, I was just trying to point out if he's going to buy the DA Power System, that the Meg's pads that come with it are fine.

It was one of the first things I bought back then, it is really not ideal, I would look to upgrade eventually. I might just use applicators by hand.
Good to know that Meg's pad are good, I used them in the past on another car with other Meguiar's products, no issues there.
