Hey guys,
Tried looking around for thoughts on this subject but didn't see much. While I've read UWW can be used as both a Rinseless and Waterless wash, what are people's thoughts about using other Rinseless washes in a Waterless wash format?

Namely, I have both Blackfire Rinseless and Blackfire Waterless and they are definitely different formulations (different look and smell) and was wondering if the rinseless would be as safe and effective to use in the waterless format as a true dedicated waterless wash. Thoughts?

This question came up when Optimum came out with their waterless wash. The question was why use Opti-Clean instead of using ONR at the QD or regular dilution...and the answer was that Opti-Clean (the waterless wash) had a lot more "stuff" in it than diluted ONR.

Most waterless washes seem to have some LSP component to them (UWW+ is Polycharged, OOC is supposed to have some LSP in it) so perhaps this is the missing ingredient that allows for waterless washing rather than using a rinseless wash in the same way.

I use it as such, 2oz mixed in my old mothers 20 or 22az detail spray bottle. Seems to be working fine for me.

Per Chris at Optimum:

ONR at QD will work well on dust. Wipe in a single direction and keep folding your towels to a clean side. We also sell Opti Clean which is an actual car wash in a bottle. Use it like I describe above, but you can clean a fairly dirty car. You'll need to use it like ONR with a cleaning pass and a drying pass (seperated towel).

I use ONR and UWW+ in Spraymaster bottles. ONR will make your car look like it has been washed when used this way. UWW+ will make your car look like it has been washed and a polymer applied. It is much shinier and slicker.

I use ONR (1oz in 1 gallon of water) in garden sprayer and spray all over the car pannel by pannel cleaning it with wash media. works well for me.:props:

I use the same mixture, and it still works. :xyxthumbs:
Keep in mind that the directions state to use 1oz to 2gallons of water.

I use 128:1 for a rinseless but would never consider it for a waterless wash

I have tried couple of different Waterless washes, first the blackfire waterless wash straight forward spray and wipe. Then I used megs rinseless, I mix 1/4 oz of D114 in a 32 oz bottle, drench the panels and clean. Yes use polymer spray to shine. Easiest way to clean a car in my opinion.

Water is by itself is a brilliant cleaner but I won't use it alone on any surface I'm worry about scratching.
