Using the least aggressive for a brand new car.

About to put Wolfgang Uber Ceramic on my new Honda. Car has only super light marks from the wash before I picked it up. I have M205, and I have Meguiars pads. I was planning to start with the black finishing pad. But then I started looking online, and it seems that there may be some products that'll remove the swirls, and aren't as aggressive as M205.

Do I need to look at using a different product with the black Meguiars pad to start? Is the LC Crimson pad even less aggressive? How do I make sure I am using the least aggressive? I'm just paranoid about the whisper thin paint, even though it is Diamond White Pearl 3 stage, which is the thickest Honda paint.

You don't need to worry that much about it. It's a brand new car, so you're not going to remove a lot of clear on your 1st polish. Maybe if it's been polished 50 times, but not the 1st polish. If you only have one pad, I'd suggest getting a couple more.
 
I'm about to do same with my new car and also planned least aggressive method first. I have nasty etching spots to deal with thou so I'll just do test spots till I see results I want.

Looks like you are on the right track, maybe go ahead and do a test patch with least aggressive and see how it looks.

I've seen M205 recommended MULTIPLE times as NOT being that aggressive

Do you plan to use a surface cleaner/prep before you coat?
 
So yeah, looks like a good plan.

Definitely consider additional pads like AC mentioned.

you can still test which works for you and order exactly what you want more of
 
I have three black pads. Hopefully that will work, if I clean them on the fly. Thanks y'all.
 
205 is not agressive,and you can use it in combination with micro cutting pads or polishing micro pads .
 
You are fine with M205 on a finishing pad. If you need more cut move up to a polishing pad.
 
I agree with the others that say M205 isn't aggressive. I always get the results I'm after using it.

The M205/black megs pad should produce a crisp, clear, glossy finish.
