Using the pad washer with water only?

Hi all,

Has anyone tried using the Pad Washer while it contained water only (meaning, no cleaning product was added)?

If so, how well did it perform on cleaning:

1) Pads covered with compounds and polish material?

2) Pads covered with sealants and wax?

Reason for me asking is that I want to use it after waxing the car with my DA polisher, but I feel that it might be a waste to use the DP pad rejuvenator for just one pad.
I do intend on spraying the pad with an APC beforehand.

If there's a different, cheaper cleaning product that will be suitable for this situation I would love to hear about it.

i have APC in my washer and just leave it with the lid on. Pre soak your pads as you take them off during the session. Then pad washer them and recover the bucket.

I think you'd do fine just spraying the pad with APC and running it through the pad washer with just water in it.
