UWW+ as a drying aid?

I haven't used my spray wax since I've purchased UWW+.

I spray it heavy and goto town. To be honest, I think I may have washed my truck only twice last month, that's down from twice a week.

I find that a quick wipe down twice a week is far easier than a full wash once a week. Especially since it is 111 degrees in the valley today. Tough to wash a car the traditional way, especially a black car.

I'm hoping the UWW+ is as good as everyone says it is for a waterless wash. I'll find out next week when it is delivered.

Problem I have with the ONRWW is that I get streaking even at QD strength. Maybe Im not using it right... I did buy both the ONRWW and OCW in gallon size. Now they sit here..

hmm. honestly i've never had anything like that occur. i've tried ONRWW at the old prescribed ONR instant detailer dilution and it worked well...but honestly...as a drying aid, wash solution strength or a hair stronger is just fine. and cheap as heck! it leaves a nice, slick finish.

for instant detailing, it's not even worth using ONRWW or ONR for me because Opti-Clean is my favorite. it is, without a doubt, the most often used product in my arsenal. i can't get over how versatile and buff Opti-Clean has become for me.

i'm using distilled water for all of the above mixes.

signing off, your favorite Optimum fan boi, hahaha.

OptiClean is very good. However, UWW+ is just as good (if not better) and costs a small fraction of the price. I use about 48oz of waterless wash to wash my truck. OptiClean would end up costing me a fortune. So, the high dilution products like UWW+ or Pinnacle waterless really work out well for me.

So wait.. You guys wash your cars etc just by spritzing the car ( if it's just dusty/ light pollen ) and wipe it down? I though that was a surefire way to mar the surface? I have the edgeless eagle towels from rag co....

Anthony,

This is where rinseless and waterless washes some into play.

A lightly dusted finish is an ideal application for either a rinseless or waterless wash. These products are formulated with lubricants that float contaminates and allow them to be wiped away without harming the finish.

Use very light pressure and wipe in a straight line.

How dirty is too dirty to safely use a rinseless wash?

dg rinseless wash diluted to a qd works well...

Does anyone use this as a drying aid? I use DG Aquawax, but supposedly it can cloud your paint if overused... I dont wanna burn All the AW up anyway, so if I can use something else and save money... The UWW+ concentrated is CHEAP...

I use DG FCS with 10% AW added to it. Dries just fine. Then a quick LIGHT buff with a thick napped MF folded in quarters.
