Uww+ ratio for qd

I think I'm just gonna use those refill water machines at walmart is that ok ?

Walmart should sell gallons of distilled water too. Last time I checked they were like $0.70 each.
 
What alll products require distilled would i need it for my APC and hyper dressing as well or just things like waterless , riinseles QD and anything on paint

You don't have to use distilled water for your products but it adds a touch of more strength to the products versus using tap water now if you use tap water you could add a little more product to make up for that lost in strength but you really don't notice that missing power

I know some do everything distilled. Personally I only do it for things touching paint or windows where it will show streaks and lubrication is a must.

So you are basically saying there's no need to use distilled unless your a pro or just want to spend the extra cash ?

considering the amount of people who use distilled and have it work well, and the fact the people in this thread have stated they've had issues with using tap water, then i suggest use distilled, is a gallon of distilled water really going to set you back that much? Heck, i know tons of people like me who use distilled gallons for our rinseless solutions! With all the typing you've done you could've already dug through your couch cushions, found the 1.99 for a gallon of distilled and be using it right now! :)

it's not adding strength, its keeping the product as intended, there's minerals and god knows what in tap water, its best to use distilled, or else you'll get streaking and the product just won't function as intended.

use what works for you as the best answer, Now it's like you can use tap water in your iron at home for clothes but distilled water is much better for iron (no build up deposits) or like in detailing MOST STEAMERS RECOMMEND DISTILLED WATER, it's a good reason to use it without question.

no, not in the case of this, waterless washes are basically QD's on cleaning steroids, theres zero difference. UWW+ is a heck of a quick touch up and waterless wash product.

Go all the way back too CEEDOG (Cory) review of UWW+ when people use it as a QD its the diluted waterless ratio they use. :dblthumb2:

And would that be 1/2 oz. per 22oz. of water? Just seems to be on the weak side to me to use as a QD.

It's actually not, how could it be acceptable as a waterless wash at that ratio if so? When diluted properly UWW is amazing. Have you ever used it? I can send you some, it'll be a product I guarantee you'll add to the arsenal.

So from the sounds of things you are using UWW a lot? Are you using it for a rinseless or waterless wash? For my customers right now I am using a meguiars waterless wash and I hate buffing off the residue which seems to take the longest. From what I understand UWW does not leave residue? So I can spray it on, then wipe the dirt off, and walk away?

You got it. I use it as a waterless wash. If you do a lot of cars, put it in a pump sprayer, much easier than using a trigger sprayer. The residue that UWWP leaves behind is called shine.:xyxthumbs:
 
I love it as a rinseless. But I only have ONR V2 to compare it to.

Sweet, so not even drying? What type of eviroment are you doing it in, I am in southern california and its hot here. I am thinking of trying some out when I run out of my current ww. Have heard great things about it!

I'm using it as a waterless and not a rinseless, so not a typical drying method. I'm in Hawaii, maybe a little more humid than in SC.
