Bling work in Clayton South Vic DFB :xyxthumbs:

I was hoping this would arrive yesterday but that's how it go's.

Base model povo spec Rangers with the 2.2 slug don't come from the factory with an engine cover. For the Australian market, the look of the engine bay is therefore somewhat unfinished.

The odd thing is though, the fitment pins are actually installed.

So that got my me thinking, if Ford went to the bother of fitting those to every engine, then there must be an engine cover to fit. A quick 30 seconds later and Google revealed there actually is such a thing.

Ford Cylinder Head Cover Everest Ranger Px 2.2L Diesel

I actually had to look a bit further to be sure that this was in fact for the 4 cylinder Puma and not the more common 5 cylinder version. The Jefferson pic is a cropped image of the 5 cylinder cover. The fact they repeatedly mentions the 2.2, I rolled the dice and ordered it.

This part satisfies my need for OE perfection and the fact it has some sound insulation included can only be a good thing as the 2.2 Puma sounds like balls. At least the 5 cylinder version has a decent roar to it, even the 2.0TT EcoBlue in the newer models sounds better.

As expected, it simply pushes into position.

The reason I wanted this to arrive yesterday was so I would have some time to detail it properly. It would be really easy to just apply some Hyper Dressing or 303................but it would also be really nice to use up a little left over DLUX on it for the ultimate indulgence. :D

Again, show me another Ranger XL that has had this level of attention to detail.........

Easily added 50hp to the ute, be careful in the wet :D
