Mike,

Do you have any articles on how to set up your regular customers on a specific schedule? For example, basic maintenance wash every 1-2 weeks, wash & wax every 6 months, etc??? If you do have info on this subject, does it go into what these services should include? Like a basic maintenance wash every 1-2 weeks (includes wash exterior of the vehicle, clean windows exterior & interior, vacuum, etc)...

I'm trying to get more organized and put regular customers on a set schedule. So any info and/or any other help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Speaking of getting more organized, is there any good auto detailing software out there that would help with the day to day operations?

I thank you & anyone else that responds to this thread. Any/all help is greatly appreciated.

I do have a couple of articles but the one I'm working on will be best when I get it finished....

Just kind of busy all the time...

Tips for maintaining a black car

Here's the most important thing, actually two things....

1. Whoever is doing the car washing needs to learn how to wash a car carefully.

2. Find something you like and use it often.

If a person always wants their car to look like it was just waxed then just wax it.

Realistically, what this is about is washing and waxing a car on a regular basis is what keeps a car looking great. Not a miracle product. And letting a car go means having it look neglected.

Having a "plan" is a great idea but at the end of the day what it really comes down to is someone has to go outside and do some washing and waxing.

:)

I started an "annual" package this spring for a couple customers. Full detail in and out in the spring. Full wheel detail in the summer with wash, spray wax/sealant, and interior touch-up. Then heavy wash, spot buff, and winter wax in the fall with another interior touch-up. Then I had ala-carte items such as washes if they wanted some of those things throughout the year. I also offered a couple "emergency" cleanings for coffee spills or that type of thing included in the package. Not exactly what you are looking for, I'm sure, might give you some ideas.

Thank you for the link. I know you're very busy. Especially with the new show, which I cannot wait to watch. I was on the Live Saturday morning feed. It sounds like a really awesome show. Congrats on the new endeavor. Thanks again for the link.

wdmaccord,

Thank you for your post as well. I love hearing how others have it set up. It helps me learn what works for others and it does give me (and others) ideas that I might not have originally thought about doing.

Thank you....
