Feed back pleaseHello, first time posting so please be gentle. I will try to keep this short so here goes.
I have a PC xp (new used it once) and my wife just gave me a Flex 3401 for my birthday (today). These are the products I have to begin my project which is a 2010 Mustang GT Burgundy ( same color as the one in the video).
citrus wash, 2 bucket wash setup, Gilmore foam gun, Nanoskin auto scrub, Megs 105 & 205, Megs microfiber system 5.5 inch, blackfire SRC compound & finishing polish, Menzerna PF4500, Hexlogic pads 2 each, yellow orange white green blue red and black. Lake country 5.5inch flat 2each white, black, red and one orange. 6.5 inch pads that came with flex pkg. (gosh I love my wife). orange white and black. To top it all off I have the Blackfire wet diamond and a can of Chem. guys 50/50.

so if anyone can advise me of something else I may need please do tell and any and all tips are welcomed. oh I also ordered the 4 3/8 inch flex backing plate as soon as I got the flex(what a woman).

Eventually you'll want some more pads, but your definitely set for products. All those are great. BFWD with CG 50/50 will look outstanding.
 
custmsprty I will be ordering more pads and thanks for the reply on the products makes me feel better on my choices.
 
Wheelsntoys, yep I think so. 3 sets of 1000 watt shop lights on tripods and 2 hanging lights regular bulbs.
 
Just add some food and music. Otherwise... it sounds like you know what you're doing.

I have to admit, while I was reading your inventory, I was looking to see if you appreciated what your wife did for you more so than actually paying attention to the inventory. With a new flex, that pc is about as good as a paper weight.
The bigger question here is what are you going to do for your wife. Gosh, I wish my wife was like yours.
 
You must have drops some good hints for her to get you a Flex. She'll expect her car to shine at all times.....Happy Birthday!!!!
 
Kurtopia, that sounds like a plan. Being that I make beer for a living I may even have a few cold ones laying around. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Expdetailing, yes I most certainly do appreciate her and what she gave me. I will detail her car and I just made reservations today at myrtle Beach sc. to surprise her for our anniversary in October.

Hazcat, no hints but she did suffer through about 2 weeks of me debating on which one to buy. Lol when she gave it to me she said "I know you and you are cheap you didn't get the one you wanted you got the one that was cheaper so here". So yes her car will shine. Also thanks for the birthday wishes.
 
Hazcat, I also now know that I must be careful on amazon. That recent search feature can get you in trouble. Lol
 
You did some excellent work. Don't you just love that Flex 3401. You should be real proud of your wife for caring so much.

I like the CCS Smart Pads but have ordered some of all the Lake Country pads. They're all good. As soon as the new Flex tool comes out I'm ordering one, no matter what it is. Can't wait to see what they have come up with.

You have some good products. I have used Meguiars for fifty years and their stuff is hard to beat. I bet I've watched Mike and his friends detail that Mustang at least 10 times and enjoy it each time. His videos are better than cable, and we learn something!
 
Gary, thank you have not polished it yet. Couldn't wait to use the flex so I put some wet diamond on it. Yep the wife out did herself this time.
 
What I recommend is continue to try new products and experiment. .. My wife's mini van has seen all sorts of products from off the shelf to boutique. .. you would be surprised what works well for you may drive me insane...
