Mothers boyfriend couple years ago died from pancreatic as well. Right on x-mas, which is pry why I hate x-mas/holidays. They actually treated him for the wrong thing, they were treating him for appendicitis if I remember. For two months he went on daily with a lot of pain, until his brother whom is a doctor came down whose a big shot up in NY, he saw him and immediately had him entered at Sloan-Kettering in NY. Diagnosed with Pancreatic, died 4 days later.

Very sad indeed. He could be seen in my house constantly while my daughters were growing up, "Dirty Dancing". They will be sad too.

just saw it on the news, doesnt sound like he was given much time either. It must be quite serious and further along.

my father found out in october and was dead november 10th. its the fastest killer.

My brother had it died in 2004 at 59. Gentleman who worked for me got it died at 68 before he could retire. In both cases less than 8 months from diagnoses.

Not Pat I liked him prayers out to him and his fam.....

The news last night reported the doctors said he had a minimal amount of cancer and that he was responding very well to the treatment whatever that means. I remember when Michael Landon of little house on the prarie and Bill Bixby of the hulk both died of pancreatic cancer. I think his docs like to keep
his hope alive by talking positively. As it was said before, this is the most fatal of the cancers. I have lost all my parents and grandparents due to cancer and most recently my brother who was 59 years old past away about 2 weeks ago. I often ask myself if all the research is helping all that much. My thoughts and prayers will be with Patrick Swayze as he fights this terrible desease.

Very sad news. No matter whom it is nor what type of cancer they have. I would say research is working. You just have to donate to the proper organizations. you know, the ones that don't keep half the money for themselves. St. Judes is good. ACS (American Cancer Society) as well.
I donate to ACS and the Neuroblastoma foundation, since that is the cancer my Son was diagnosed with.
It is very scary, coming from someone who has seen what it does up close and personal. Many don't think of cancer until it is too late.

Thoughts and Prayers with him and his Family....
