I can't recall so many famous rock stars going down in such a short period of time. From Scott Weiland, Lemmy, Bowie, Glenn Frey and now we find out that Paul Katner died yesterday. Maybe a bit obscure for some but long time bassist for Rainbow and Dio, Jimmy Bain, died last week too.

Thoughts?

And more significantly, founding member of Jefferson Airplane. Let's not forget David Bowie as well. I am guessing as they keep aging we'll be seeing more of them, except Keith Richards, I think he'll live forever.

What's going on? They're old.

This is the only answer there is. Alright boys, shut the lights off and close the doors on this thread, mystery solved!

I mean the cluster of them

The cluster of old people that die every day/week/month? They do this thing on CNN called "The People We've Lost This Year" or something like that, remarkably, it's always full of dead famous people.

I'm not going to worry about it too much unless forum members start dying off.

That's the beauty of art, music and building. The work lives on long after the creator passes

Lemme see, Drugs, alcohol, parties, old age. Pick one or two.

Although it happened in 2015, Chris Squire, founding member and bassist from YES, also passed. 2nd biggest influence as to why I picked up the bass guitar.

At you remember hearing about Chris passing away. The only reason I do not include him in this is because all these people only have a couple weeks in between of them dying.

To much drugs and alcohol, look at all the wwf or what ever it's called former wrestlers dropping like flies at 60 all from heart attacks. Take care of your self young and reap the benefits later

We lost Maurice White from Earth, Wind and Fire today. He may not be a "rock star" but you know what, that band could get down and could rock, so IMO he's a full fledge rock star. You put that many people on stage playing all those instruments and get that sound...there will never be another!

RIP
