I will post more 'after' pics of that burb...yea im not a fan of wet looks either, most customers like that matte/satin finish as it also doesnt pic up too much particles from driving. Which is why i really dont use GEL, but i might have ot try some of that stuff on AG , herad great reviews..forgot the name though
Yeh deffinitley post pics, big fan of clean trucks, and that burb looks like its been debadge and has no molding trim or boards, bet it looks sharp and clean.

There's has been a lot of great pictures where Souveran Paste was the LSP used in the detail. I'm sure a lot of people would repost them if you wanted to see them. Here's a few pics with Souveran Paste over Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant on Yellow.

Ive been reading up on pairing and WG and Souv seem to be the chosen couple for people...I'll def try those two out.

I'm one of those users who responded this way. If interested I also like 4*'s Ultimate Paint Protection followed by Souveran. There are few sealants on the market that are any more slick to the touch than UPP. It isn't as durable as some of the leaders in the longevity area but it is slicker than snot on a door.... (well you get my point).

Gary,

you can use Applesauce as LSP and your car would still look good. :D

FABULOUS...YANNO, I dont think ive ever detailed a yellow car..., how would you compare that color to say...a red? in terms of reflective shine and depth. Like example, Black and Dark metallic grey have similarities when done...as does White & Silver...YEllow, im puzzled hahahaa

Id love to touch an LP640, but none of those customers will BITE...yet...

Tell them your Ferruccios' nephew:D

Oh forgot to add to my post

Its a Suburban 2500 8.1 Limited Edition
Very rare around here in So. Cal - its freakin fast..I know cuz i had to pick it up in Fountain Valley to detail it and bring it back to Orange Coast Hospital hehe, but dont tell the owner that i topped out in it

Anyways specs are

Black, with Metalic Grey Ghost Flames
Debadded
Eletronic hide away steps?
3" Lift
some 35's i think? very beautiful car, however the front end isnt original paint...when they did ghost flames the clear coat sucked compared to the original paint...but still a beauty

I've never used Victoria but Souveran and S100 are very nice waxes. Although high end waxes can be pretty pricey per jar, the per car cost is usually pretty small. If I had my way I'd have one of every paste wax out there. Sadly the better the look the shorter the life seems to be what I find. I recently put Glasur on one of my cars. The car sits outside and isn't driven daily. After application it sat for 2 weeks. I drove it 10 miles round trip and washed it. Although there was certainly protection it was diminished considerably. The sides were still very slick but the top surface weren't nearly as slick. I still love using paste waxes and don't see myself changing. In the end though the only benefit is my personal enjoyment in the variety of my collection and the appeal to a few customers that I used an expensive wax. Otherwise I think in the looks department I could just use Meguiar's #26 and only see a slight difference on some cars and after a washing probably no difference at all.

but just to play along...u can see more of her...haha i hope she doesnt look at these post when im browsing..anyways, shes a great addition ..esp since shes alot smaller than me (i'm 250..more than twice her weight) she makes cleaning those damn pesky parts of interiors aloooooot easier not to mention she can hand me whatever product i need while i become a lazy ass during our details haha...which probably explains why im 250..and shes barely crackin 100lbs

by the way man i love this site..u guys welcomed me and i feel like home everytime i'm on this site!

man that is cool :D so you've been teaching her over the years. If I was standing where she's standing on that truck, I'd dent it really bad! I weigh around 215 to 220 haha. I am trying to get my girlfriend really into detailing. I asked her if she wanted to try the UDM, but she said nah. Hmm your sister boxes too ey..that must help with detailing :p. I love this forum too, it is great!

ya everyone comments on that pic.... i say "hey they instructed us to stand on the hood...they even said that their fat ass mechanics do it all the time" hahaha so i wasn't responsibile if there was damage..which there wasnt..

On deep yellow paint you can some pretty good reflections and depth. I'm not sure what color it would be closest to terms of reflective shine and depth. In terms of shine and depth maybe red but the darker colors reflect better. It's about the only light color that you can get then extreme wetness look to the paint.

...how bout ketchup? haha

Anyways...thats a pretty good description. I was talkin to (klumzypnoy) for a cool minute yesterday and i came up with these suggestions. Guys, Let me know if these pairings seem good.

Menzerna 106ff grey or white pad ccs(after claying)
WG DGPS (blue ccs pad)
Soueran (blue pad)

I was also wondering if i should get the SS2 and liquid souvern for the metallics and light cars? Do you think i should prep the paint with that Cleansing lotion before i put on the sealers + wax or is it unnecessary?

I'm sure you could use some Menzerna Super Intensive Polish! It's a step higher than 106ff. Get those two! I would think white and orange pads for Menzerna.

IF you are taking it all the way: (And the car is in a pretty good shape)

Clay
Menzerna PO 106FF with white pad
Pinnacle cleansing lotion/alcohol wipe down
WDGPS
Souveran
Souveran spray wax

If its metalic, use pinnacle sig series ll for wax!

Just my two cents

yea, i like those options...most ferrari/lambo/porsche oweners keep their cars relatively garaged so i think that works perfectly..

is the lotion applied just by hand...microfiber applicataor?

Use a microfiber applicator, or foam! I like foam best! Can`t wait to see a ferrari with that combo ;)
