A few months back a local Casino contacted me regarding doing a VIP car wash event for their high level gamblers. After many weeks of organization and preparation we finally set up a date and began moving toward the event in full speed.
They wanted for the interior and exterior to be cleaned so I proposed an express detail to them that could be done very quickly with the right amount of staff. The services included:
Hand wash
Spray wax
Tire dressing
Vacuum
Interior wipe down
Interior glass cleaning
After I thought this event was reasonably set in stone I decided to contact Nick at Autogeek to see if he would be interesting in sending us some DP products to use for the event. He graciously agreed and sent us some awesome products. About a week before the event was to take place I received a couple of huge brown boxes.

To my shock and surprise he had sent me 5 whole gallons of product, trigger sprayers, pumps, a DP banner and a brand new DP detailer's bag! Products included:
Detailer's Pro Wash & Wax
Detailer's Pro Gloss Tire Gel
Detailer's Pro Final Gloss Quick Detailer
Detailer's Pro Total Interior Cleaner
Detailer's Pro Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner
In addition to the Autogeek products, I also purchased some extra supplies just for this event, which included 120 Member's Mark (formally ProForce) microfibers.(not pictured)

I'm not a big fan of chamois at all but I did not know whether the 120 towels I purchased would be sufficient for the amount of vehicles we were going to be doing.
I don't use my 6x12 trailer all the time now days so I needed to make sure it was set up for the upcoming event.

I basically completely emptied it out in prep for this event. It would need to be set up different than how I normally load it.
The contract with the casino was to do the aforementioned express detail to a maximum of 40 vehicles, so I knew with a 6 person crew this would be possible. I started a couple of threads on forums, asked some friends and family, posted a few messages on Facebook, and quickly found a good group that was pumped to make some extra money and be a part of the event.
Well, the day finally arrived! But the weather had also unfortunately. The town where the casino is located was running a 60% chance of showers all day in addition to being a high of 61 for the day. I guess that is what comes when the territory when planning an event in the middle of October. Regardless of the weather the event was going to go on rain or shine!
My truck, loaded trailer, and Mazda 3 that would be carrying the bulk of the crew down to Metropolis, IL.

Loaded trailer. The lighting is not great since it was overcast the entire day.

We arrived in Metropolis a little before 9 A.M. after about an hour drive. The event was slated to be from 10-6 or whenever we were finished with the last of the details. A picture of the Casino's attached hotel. We were in the north most parking lot. The casino is on the other side of the hotel.

First thing we did was set up a 10x20 canopy in case it poured rain on us. I had a bunch of poncho's so that we could continue to wash in the rain but the interiors would have to be done under the canopy in the case of a down pour.

Wind was blowing steady flapping the banner around. Was about 51 degrees when we arrived!

A shot of the crew. From left to right Anthony, my wife Shannon, Brandon, Ryan (I think he is an AG member but I don't know his handle), and Luke.

A big shout out to my friend Marc (forum member Hellspawn) who wanted to be here and was originally planning on it but had to pull out a few days before. We missed you my friend!
The work setup was:
Anthony, Luke, myself - washing, drying, waxing, and dressing tires (I did most of the sealing and dressing)
Ryan - interior wipedown. He did a ton more than this as he worked ahead and I am extremely grateful for all of his help.
Brandon - an absolute machine with a vacuum. The carpets looked amazing for how little time we had
Shannon - She was purely on window duty. It was a tedious and necessary task. She was a bit intimidated at first but I had shown her the correct two towel process and was a pro after just a few vehicles.
A little before 10 A.M. the cars scheduled for the event started rolling in! We were told that of the 40 max they had set up 32 VIP's to bring in vehicles. They were to come in waves at 10-11 and 1-2. We got slammed the first 3 hours and it was close to 1 before we even blinked.

Contrary to how I predicted, the interior crew was able to work WAY ahead of the exterior crew. Partially I believe because it was so cool and overcast so there was no help from the weather in drying the cars off. None the less, when the interior crew got completely caught up they all chipped in helping us wash and dry.
I used the DP Final Gloss Detailer on some of the cars and on others I used a spray sealant and QD from a brand new detailing company called Micro Detailer. They were really great products that were WOWA and left absolutely no residue, even in the cold damp weather.
The setup after the first wave. We had about a 15 minutes break from 12:45 to 1 before the next wave started coming in. We tried to keep the work space as tidy as possible but it was somewhat difficult with that many people and so much going on.

I didn't get many pictures of the second wave because we were BUSY and it was starting to rain on us.
We were told that there were some no shows and ended up doing 26 vehicles total out of a maximum of 40 we were contracted to do. We ended up packing things up and calling it a day around 3:30. If the other 14 cars would have been there we would have definitely been able to get it all done, but it would have taken us right up to the 5:30 - 6 P.M. mark we had originally planned for.
The crew after five and a half hours of pure mayhem.

My wife and I stopped and got a bite to eat before heading home with the truck/trailer but the rest of the crew went straight home as Ryan and Luke had a long drive ahead of them.
I would like to thank the Lord Jesus for giving us incredible favor and safety throughout the whole event plus the travel before and after, the crew that worked incredibly hard in mediocre weather conditions and got a lot accomplished, Autogeek.net for donating a ton of amazing chemicals that worked exactly as we needed them to work, and to Micro Detailer for donating the spray sealant and QD that I used on some of the vehicles.
For those of you interested in Detailer's Pro products, I really cannot say enough about them. The tire gel is excellent, the wash & wax goes a really long way, the Krystal Vision glass cleaner is one of the finest glass cleaners money can buy, and the rest of the products performed flawlessly.
Thank you for looking! I know some of the pictures are less than perfect but I really was snapping "on the go" and trying to catalog the best I could with the conditions/time. I'm going to be linking this thread to my Facebook page as well which is www.facebook.com/visualprodetailing so if you don't care head over there and give it a like!
If you have any questions, please ask away.
God Bless!
