Volvo Ocean Race seat fabric Q?

Hello,

First time poster, long time lurker.

I have '06 Volvo XC70 Ocean Race Edition with a special seats and combo of leather and fabric.
I have been using Lexol, cleaner and conditioner because of this forum input.
The fabric is what I have problem keeping clean.
It's not a common type seat fabric and I have not seen any other cars with it, it almost looks and feels like sail on a yacht.
It get's wet sometimes from rain, getting in and out and wet bags or back packs.
I can always get it perfect clean with a high temperature extracting vacuum BUT I would like to know if there is any product that I can use to prevent such ugly water stains:mad:

I would love to find something because that is the only part of my car that I can not keep up with...

Hi Bart,

Outside of a product like Raggtopp Fabric Guard or a water-proof seat cover like sold for Jeeps, (convertibles), I don't know of a way to prevent this type of material from staining.


If you're a Volvo Fan, maybe send a letter with pictures or better, the link to this thread to the highest person up the food chain at Volvo and ask them,

BTW, Should I isolate the fabric portion of the seat not to spray the leather, I will put some Lexol on it anyway before I will apply the Raggtop product.
 
Update:
It's been a month since I applied ragtopp spray and is working great.
NJ had few rainy days and being wet sitting on seats has no effect on them at allIm the MAN

BTW, I also did outside with a clay bar, Mcguires swirlx and goldclass carnuba paste wax in is looking great:buffing:
