Wait, what?

I am going to sell all of my polishers and get a case of that stuff.

Lots of people on various car forums still swear by that stuff.

I bet it corrects clear coat failure too. I'm going to start offering it along with my toothpaste and wd-40 correction package lol

There are so many things wrong with the statements they make.
They call it a polish and claim it acts like a wax.
They say it went through 52 car washes? That HAS to swirl the paint.

That ad has been around forever...always makes me laugh......but that stuff is still available and people buy it

It's perennially rated as a "Best Buy" by Consumers' Reports. If you can't trust CR, who can you trust?

There's an old adage:
"Over selling of anything,
usually has negative results".

{Perhaps Reed-Union needs to rethink
the marketing strategy for this product. :dunno:}

Regardless, IMO:
•Nu-Finish provides:
-a polymer base;
-a very reflective shine
(UV-rays being re-directed)

•It is a very durable product that's
both easily applied and obtained.

•Not bad for it being an "OTC"
AIO/Cleaner-Sealant.

agree the owner of magic jack bought 200 cans of this stuff to apply to some flooring.after application we couldn't even walk on the floors,it was so slick and dangerous with socks on.We decided on coating the whole house with cq .

Well, that's just semantics, there are no hard and fast definitions for that. I mean Zaino and Duragloss both call their sealants "polishes" (hmm...could those two be related?...nah...)

There's nothing wrong with NuFinish, it's just a classic cleaner wax/sealant that has a lot of abrasive material in it, which means it leaves residue in nooks and crannies like paint chips, around emblems, in body seams, on trim, etc. etc. etc. Who wants to use a product like that today?

Thar ad is at least a decade old......you just now saw it? There were times when I recommended that product to people that could not afford my services. Ever used it yourself? If you have you might not make such fun of it. Don't get your nose so high in the air........you might drown when it rains.

Wow I got burned.

Maybe I did see it before but never paid attention since I was not into detailing.

But if the product is so good, what are we all doing here asking questions about hundreds of products and techniques? That thing requires one product and one towels. I better call Rupes and Flex so they can stop production right now and save some money.

Kidding aside, I do see your point but I'd never be brave enough to put that on my car.
